you might wanna consider that you may be affected by adhd.

- "lose my interest"

- "inconsistent"

- "thrill"

Sounds like classic adhd.

It won't be easy for you to get consistent without external help but you can start by externalizing your tasks. Write down every morning physically on a piece of paper what you want to work on and rewrite them by priority

Start crossing off one at a time. If you lose interest in the first task, You will have to rewrite the task as something "thrilling" to get you started.

Problem with people with adhd is getting "thrilled" about a thing and then "losing interest" quickly. even though you know you need to complete it irrespective of what you feel like.

"You know what to do, when to do and how to do things but you cannot DO it. And you know that you can do it but at the same time you also know that you cannot do it."

Do you relate to this?

This isn't your regular google drive that you login to store your documents.

This is a separate google drive provisioned specifically to be used via API through google cloud

I think Google Cloud has a Google Drive API for such use cases

Would you have used say, a video call web app that could bill the client immediately after the call based on the call minutes ? Or would you still prefer to go for retainers ?

What I’m trying to understand is why the decision to move from billable calls to retainer model? Was it only the ease of invoicing or were there other factors ?

Also, “Dismissing the use of simple tools or feeling like everything has to be automated and perfect is a recipe for disaster”

“Automate only once you have a repeatable process that has low to no variation in output”

Love these two advice! Applicable to almost every business

Hey, Thanks for being generous in taking out some time and writing so elaborately!!

Quick replies to your pointers 1) not all calls are of the same length Some calls need just 5 mins to explain a complex idea and some calls need 1 hour to explain something simple! Fixed pricing breaks here.. the opposite party will be like why am I being billed for one whole hour when only consumed 5 mins of your time ?!

2) upfront sounds great ! I’ll try that .. but most of the times people get sold into paying for consultation only after the initial consultations fetches them some value. Tire kickers are anyway not gonna come back .. so they aren’t of concern either way!

What do you think of an idealist setup of the following fashion: - conversation starts for free - client can see value and decides to pay - by the end of the call client gets an invoice automatically with the consumed minutes of consultation

Ofcourse this is an ideal scenario but I think that would take care of my problems Is this something that makes sense ?

yes,we're into stocks and financial technology. A lot of people trading stocks or interested in investment strategies are on telegram. so my team communicates on telegram since our clients are mostly there + it's very easy/smooth to get a new client to telegram than slack + we can very easily attach our tech notifications to telegram bots!

OP maybe suffering from manic depression (note:not depression).

The post, like the one linked here and apathy towards family/dad's business, shows a case of depression but the kind of skill OP has demonstrated through projects posted on OPs website shows that OP must have Bursts of mania. Mania is also demonstrated through OPs wish to get placed at companies like Facebook, etc due to heightened self worth.

Due to unstable mood, OP maybe having difficulty taking decisions and maybe subject to environmental factors dictating life decisions.

I would advice OP to take a break , not cause he needs to get away from a computer. I'm sure OP will do great things on a computer. But to evaluate mental health n well being. To try out things to keep a stable mood.

All the best Mr.Cabada . Hope this helps you :)
