I have been into the demoscene for the last 25 years and never heard of this website demoscene.info. It looks like the kind of website a domainer will make to "increase" the price of a low value domain name.

If you like it there is also slengpung in the same spirit (https://www.slengpung.com/). The website archives thousands of demoparties photos from 1989 to 2018)

We more or less have the same laws in France (and that's probably the case in other countries in EU)

Or you could have both. I find that gas offers quicker heat which is excellent for certain types of cooking. I find the responsiveness and heat control provided by gas are unmatched, that's why I use it most of the time

When I was a teenager (17) all my friends in my class they could juggle three balls and I was a little jealous I wanted to be able to do like them. I remember buying three juggling balls and during recess I would train , sometime I would even skip class to train ! It took me about three weeks to be able to juggle with 3 balls! I am left handed so maybe it has something to do with that.

The animation on this site are great but they could be better if the balls were numbered (1,2,4)

I don't know in the US but don't worry the demoscene is very much alive in Europe! Lots of big and smaller events all year long. I am personally going to Revision (where about a thousand people gather every Easter) and Evoke almost every year..the rest of the time there's often other demoparty you can watch live online

I have been following the demoscene for a little more than 20 years now. Wrote only a couple demos. Last one was last year for Revision 2023. I am actually so glad to be European (living in France) because it seems it is almost inexistant outside Europe.

IMHO it seems to me overly complicated. Also it doesn't work on mobile / tablet Android. you can display the menu but once you release the button it dissapear

I remember being fascinated by this Cicada story when it came up. if this is true it really deserves a blog post .

I had the occasion to try it at Revision 2023 (a demoparty). The demo was a missile game (for those interested you can watch it here : https://files.scene.org/view/parties/2023/revision23/game/re... ) It was indeed fun to try but I have played similar games on my Oculus Quest and the experience on Quest (or any other similar headsets ) is much more immersive. Now I just discover the price : 359USD without shipping cost. I must say I find it quite expensive. At this price I rather buy a Quest 2 or wait for the Quest 3 wich will offer full Mixed Reality capability.

I wonder if this kind of thing is found in other languages. for example i can't think of any in French (i am French) even "it is what it is" which I would translate by " C'est comme ça" (it is like this)

Wow that came as a shock. I used to check every couple of days if they had interesting movie I could watch with my wife. I wonder what is the cost of running such a site and I guess they must also earn some money in crypto with all the donation and also the advertisements. Well, that's the end of something

could someone explain what is SDF? i genuinely tried to search but where i live it means "homeless" I also know about "signed distance functions" and while they are so cool indeed i doubt you're talking about it ?

I wish there was some code samples. Just to get an idea of how it looks like. I browsed the website but could not find any.. Except for the playgroud with only one "hello world"

I wonder about the random part.. How did you achieve this ? Dice or something ? Be cause even with basic knowledge of the system it would have been easy (for a while) to delete only useless files.. It's à very original drinking game !

Now there exist drugs like carfentanyl. A very small amount is enough to kill.. It also even looks like a pleasant way to die.

This reminds me of Magix Music Maker "automatic song compositor" I forgot the exact name, but It was a function inside their software that would automatically compose a song following some settings you could choose (like which genre and sample asset you could wanted). It was not AI though.

This is weird because this is the kind of game you know you have played at least a couple of times a long time ago before, you instantly know how to play it but I personally cannot remember where nor when.

Is it the official music video though ? I thought the original one was the one they did in China with a copy of the eiffel tower ?

Oh really ? Then you're lucky you don't have one of those "gaming laptop" especially the ASUS TUF models (I am not a gamer at all but yet i decided to get an asus Tuf505d) and believe me setting up Linux on it wasn't boring at all. I actually learnt a lot while doing it.

Because once you'll figure out why the wifi is shutting down every x minutes. You'll then have to find what's wrong with the Bluetooth who doesn't activate.

And of course at some point you'll want to connect an external monitor right ?

If you thought plugging an hdmi cable and pushing some keys would allow you to display your stuff on your projector... Well think again.

Don't get me wrong I love Linux.. I have been using it for the last 12 years (switched to Ubuntu recently)

While it's amazingly easy and smooth on my rpi4 (for my personnal use). It can be boringly complicated on some laptop brands

I don't think his solution is that "dumb" except if by "dumb" he means over-complicated. A "dumber" solution would probably be to follow a side of a "wall". Imagine if you're in a real maze if you put your finger on a wall and follow that wall (your finger is always in contact with the wall) then you'll eventually get to the exit if there's one or you get back to the entrance.
