imo the downsides to this are so minimal to a user? you can configure neovim without defining any functions or w/e and it's not like awkward or anything

i find nix a weird mention here. there is a popular segment of people who wish nix would have used a generic programming language instead of a dsl, but i cant imagine nix working with something like toml ever. the complexity to build every program ever in every programming language is just way too high for that.

i mean blender has to support a lot more than a mapping tool for a game. it seems pretty expected to me that it would be more complicated to have complete freedom to do whatever you want vs the strict limits that such a tool imposes on you.

ask any of the people who installed it if they understand what they're doing and especially what the consequences of that are. i doubt you could get a dozen people who do of the millions and millions who installed it.

of those millions of residential proxies i would be surprised if you could find a dozen people who knew this was happening on their devices

i think of those 12k only a tiny minority would go that far. like at the point you are involving other people, why not just ask them to drive you home? like yea people will always find workarounds, but a solution doesnt have to be perfect to be effective.

i absolutely agree! my biggest issue is probably that they didnt expand at all on the walking mechanics and gave you vehicles so quickly while also make the terrain so much easier to drive on, that i almost never walked! in my walking simulator!!

that said especially the ending is such a unique experience i cant say i didnt have a great time anyways

steam does not force you to update though. you can just start the game without updating. if it's multiplayer ofc it might require an update anyways

death stranding made just moving through the game world engaging and challenging. and on top of that it has very satisfying combat mechanics and async multiplayer gameplay elements. yeah the game has long cinematic cutscenes, but i do not see how that detracts from the actual gameplay

sony's cinematic games sold well and are well regarded, but when was the last time they released any such game or even just a single player game? when they rerereleased the last of us?

just like the person you responded to already said: cos there is like basically no difference between the two. unless you care a lot about screens (in which case you will know what oled means) just get the cheaper one.

yeah like i assume this is better by now, but when gamepass was relatively new i got a free month with my laptop but just installing games would frequently fail, same with updating them. same with epic games for that matter, though not that bad. also at the time the xbox app would install everything in this readonly directory that you couldnt even access with admin rights, which ofc made modding impossible and also after reinstalling windows left me with an external harddrive where i wasnt allowed to delete a huge folder of games... fixed this by mounting it in linux.....

true, but also there is no debugging, right? it's apple's software either it works or it doesn't. (i guess other than connectivity issues)

idk if most of my home assistant automations have actually saved me time since i def had to debug them, but the level of satisfaction when they do work is def worth it for me, since i created (and debugged) them haha
