Man = Virus 6 years ago

Well by that logic - Somewhere far far away, in a distant galaxy, someone must have gone.

Let's engineer a virus for the virus!

Regardless of the colour of the collar, it is 3 things that can make work happy for anyone.

1. Certain level of predictability (Faith in the larger mission of the company and where it is headed).

2. Opportunities to operate in new domains and potential to constantly learn new things (mutual growth).

3. An environment where trial and error (and thus failure) is encouraged.

I think that an important precursor to being compassionate is the ability to sense what others might be going through and wanting to help. The fact that you were moved by the film (which I haven't watched btw) and want to be more like Mr. Rogers is an indication that the precursor exists.

Other than that, we often strive for bigger changes that we can make. Instead, we must start with our immediate circle and always keep an open eye for what we can do to help this very minute in our family, neighbourhood, work or friend circle.

Anything counts - from fixing someones computer or helping them with taxes to just catching up with someone for coffee and hearing them out about the difficult ordeal they are going through.

I felt this way. But I outlived that curiosity at some point. The concept of cause & effect became invalid.

Two major realisations were the final blow before I hit the abyss of it all.

1. Every action of mine was intended towards self improvement 2. Each of those actions was/is/will be futile

I want to go back to that phase when I was waking up curious about what will happen next. But I'm not able to keep living the lie anymore.
