When machines are doing all the work - we no longer have to.

This sucks. The solution is to buy the cheepest iPhone and use it just for the goverment services.
What hardware are they using to run the benchmarks?
most web elements are actually native components. The advantage to letting the device/OS decide how the components work is that say a handheld device will handle the drop-down select-box in their own way, allowing for new devices to improve the user experience.
I would suggest building something on your own, choose your own processes, work however you want, with something that gives you motivation, and see if you are able to ship and release the things you build, attract users and lifetime management of the products. Now if that works great the problem is not with you.
You also need to trust the root certificates that they don't give key access to the VPN or ISP
What do you do if your version becomes immensely more popular and successful then the thing you copied? When people start calling you a genius.
Importantly it only prevents clients that actually cares about the cors headers. Like ohh I'm from hacker.org and the http headers says it only allows zoom.us ohh nooooo. Like it's just a http header! Now if you use a mainstream browsers and you accidentally visits hacker.org in a iframe at some shady site - then the cors header will prevent your browser from accessing it.
It works great in dynamic languages as well. Static typing is mostly to aid the IDE. In dynamic languages you can infer the type by looking at the code, and LLM are good at that.
Have you ever heard "I can do that in a weekend" and they usually can. The difficult part is not building the product, it's selling and marketing, the buisness part. It's quite common buisness tactic to outright copy someone else's product or buisness.
opencode is like Claude code, but you can use any model.
Make the team size one person. Thats the fastest you can work. Zero means no work, and not doing anything is the quickest solution.
An example that not all companies are run by idiots. The job market is not a healthy market though, where its more important to know ppl then to be great at some skill. But if leadership sucks just leave if you can, that will fix the problem.
Sometimes being evil will make you win - but only what money can buy.
Someone should make a service "where in the pi am I" then you could use it as a short link. Then there will be hardware accelerated pi chips. All computers will come with pi preinstalled.
The tech stack is almost always decided by someone in leadership that has no developer experience. Or by the consultant company that will chose the most complicated and difficult to maintain stack because then they can invoice more and will win all future contracts. The trick is to hire someone that is not corrupted by money, someone like the author of this post, who cares more for the users then how much he gets paid.
I've got an example and submitted it via bug bounty channel, but they classified it as "social engineering".
npmjs.org is a joke at this point. I guess their support is run by LLM because you can just write to them and they will transfer ownership of any module nilly willy.
Another fiction movie that explores this: Moon (2009) it's a very good movie!
And people even here on HN actually thinks that AI/LLM are factually correct... The more cases like this the easier it will get to sue them (IANAL)
First they had links to other sites. Then they put the information found on other sites on their own site. Then they took the information from other sites, trained a LLM with it, and put it on their own site without even linking to the source.
I imagine going to sleep and waking up in another body. I recommend the TV serie Altered Carbon.
probably easier to clone, and then somehow transfer memories to the new body. This made me think - is it our memories that create our consciousness?
Self hosted Gitlab is just as slow in my experience.
What hurts the most is that most ppl disagree with me. It's like people telling you they will paint your house for free, even though the color of your house is perfectly fine, you agree to paint it in another color. Then you come home to find that they have bored a bunch of holes in the facade and tells you it's the new industry standard, when the winter comes you will have to plug these holes with special plugs, and you wake up next morning and it's -10 C outside. Your house is now pink, you are cold, and nothing has improved. Next week another team comes by and offers to repaint your house for free... They say orange is the new pink.
Few things can trigger me more then finding a bug/regression and when tracking it down the commit reads like "modernizing the code", replacing all var with let, etc.
I hope that they continue to sue until there's justice.
It takes way more resources to train the model then to use it.
Someone with psychopathic characteristics would lie in their favour. So someone would need to fact check, a doctor would have to check if the children are actually starving? And on the other side, someone who contribute greatly to community and society, should that person get a lower sentence because of that?
Could turn the system into a multi-seat gaming rig with 6 separate gaming seats, using loginctl on Linux.
