Maybe they were thinking of the options most browsers have to clear selected private data on exit. In that case, though, it's still possible to clear both localStorage and cookies I am sure. Maybe parent commenter currently has the options set so that cookies are cleared but localStorage is not and that's why they thought that this is the way it always is.

Hello, Firefox on Android user here on a tablet from circa 2012. Extreme lag, unlike most websites.

There are definitely unacceptable performance issues with the syntax highlighter javascript.

It looks great, it's a cool project, but it is not suitable for use anywhere.

That was an interesting video, thanks for linking it.

Two books are mentioned in the video, both of which I would like to read;

- "History of Harmonic Pythagoreanism" by Rudolf Haase

- "The Harmony of the World" by Johannes Kepler

The original title of the book by Haase, I found by jumping to the mark where it was mentioned in the original german language video, was Geschichte des Harmonikalen Pythagoreismus. Unfortunatelly, I have not been successfull in finding an English translation of the book. I could read the German version but would only understand a few select parts so I would much prefer to read it in English. Does anybody know of an English version of the book?

Doesn't have issue tracker so can't ask them directly. Hoping they will see it here.

I think that instead of just linking to the license, they should include a copy of it in the root of the repository and refer to that. It is the proper way to do it.

No, he's saying that in order for the messages to be available, they have to be stored locally and since most people need access to the messages from their phones, it makes sense to do it this way to ensure that all messages are stored on the phone, instead of users ending up with some messages on their phones and some on their PCs.

There's no escape on my tablet. Also, the whole experience is horrible on tablet also wrt the other parts of navigation. Doesn't fit right on screen, navigates when trying to adjust, jumps around when trying to navigate. Hard to hit the arrows. I bailed out on this after three slides. Unusable.

The tone of the statement is very anonymous in nature. Cold and factual. I wonder if this is how its author normally express theirself or if they've written in this style in order to defeat authorship attribution.

Perhaps one day I will learn how to write HN clickable URLs...

Leading space is for preformated text and is mostly useful for code. For everything else, don't add leading space. Do add extra line breaks, though.

Here are your links with extra line breaks and without leading space, thus nicely presented and clickable.
