It's not about the thickness — this is surely Apple just flexing some of the engineering work that has gone into building a future foldable phone (which inevitably requires thinner hardware to fit two screens in the thickness of one).

So don't take this at face value, it's just a prelude to a foldable phone next year.

Very glad this is back, though the format hasn't changed. Would be good to update the format now that the tech has evolved a bit more

Youssef here from Wondercraft! We're sorry for the almost one year hiatus we took from HNR, but we're bringing it back.

It's still the same exact format as previously but the tech we're using has gotten a lot more advanced.

Is there anything like this for other components of the modern webapp?

Something very strange happened when they first shipped it in preview. It was GOOD, back when the daily limit was 5 requests.

A couple days / weeks later, they announced that the request went up to 60 day (which is way over what anyone actually needs) and the quality dropped instantly. For those short few days at the start, it was actually my favourite coding agent, but somehow they killed it

Nothing infuriates me more than the fact that when you get a missed call, tapping on the call notification doesn't call them back, instead it takes you to their contact!!!

What's worse is that this is a regression, so they actively made life a little more difficult for everyone in the new release.

I'm always torn whether this is a good use of time or not. If you're an early stage startup, it feels like shipping features (that work) quickly is your biggest differentiator, not how nice your UI is.

I guess this is true if you're doing something in a not so saturated field, but understand that if you're in a saturated space, you probably do need the design to be natural os as to set yourself apart.
