I’m not convinced by this study at all. I’d like to know whether the risk of circulation-related issues was more applicable to people already at risk for those issues. I use a standing desk almost daily and it’s really alleviated my spinal issues, along with making me feel more energised throughout the day.

The country is neither fascist nor a dictatorship.

However, the legal overhaul does curtail the court's ability to assert a more libertarian, liberal agenda. The government is pushing a religious agenda that will change the nature of the country, and that causes significant consternation to the largely secular population that makes up the hi-tech nation.

Looks like they haven't put up much documentation yet - hard to say what this is really.

How do you work with different platforms? How does the performance compare to React Native? Can we see examples? What APIs exist to access native functionalities? How complete is the Flex implementation?

Nice blog, but watch out for advising people that putting money in index funds 'pretty much assumes an 8% return'. Returns can vary wildly year by year even if 7-9% annual is accurate over the last 20-30 years or so. Bogle (and others) is estimating the coming year's returns to be lower than 7.

Am I the only one concerned about privacy implications here?

Google is revealing private calendar data without any ability to control what is shared and what is not. This is another example of sacrificing personal privacy for a "cool feature". No thanks!

This was my intro as well, and I've already recommended it to a number of people.

Malkiel believes in investing over gambling/speculating. That means trying to obtain market returns rather than trying to beat it, using very-low-cost funds like those offered by Vanguard. A great place to read more about this philosophy, when you finish Random Walk, is the Boglehead's forum.

I think you will find Java less often among startups because initial development can take longer, and startups are often strapped for cash. Some companies eventually switch to the JVM (Java, Scala, etc.) for performance reasons, and many don't. I personally have never worked as a Java developer, so take this with many grains of salt.
