I prefer codex for most tasks, but stil use Claude if i need to make something "nice but generic", i.e. a html artefact or touch up of front end code.

Norway is in the ECC together with Iceland, but for some reason Iceland is not on the list where these SKUs will be available.

i did use Fable for a brief moment the last time around, and apart from being extremely expensive, it wasn't any order of magnitude better than Opus or even GPT-5.5 for my workloads (development, prototyping, some api testing). I probably could manage indefinitely on Sonnet class models

I rarely use widows, but i feel like windows media player is only there to check a box that windows has a media player. Most people dont play local videos anyway, and those who do use something else like VLC.

This will be interesting to follow. I dont see how this can be fully enforced. Maybe for iOS and other platform where app distribution is highly restricted, but on linux, windows and even macOS i can use mullvad, sending cash in an envelope without ever revealing my identity.

If you're just doing workflows from a single node, i guess it can be ok as long as theres a single writer. But scaling across multiple servers it clearly is not all you need.

It's driven a lot by the harness too. If you're using claude code, you're actively being pushed towards newer models, even though older ones work perfectly fine for your use cases

As someone who has seen the enterprise deals, they are not subsidised in any way shape or form. Anthropic may wave the seat fee, maybe get lower "expected" consumption. This changes what the company pays up front. but token prizing is fixed.

They pay sticker price. There may be exceptions for very very large companies like Amazon or Microsoft which have their own deals where they rent out compute in return for usage.

Is this some anti-FIAT take? The value the author got is not value as in intrinsic value, it simply means value as in better deal than the alternative. This is often called "value" and you will see this used when products are sold in "value packs" etc.

Sometimes it feels like theres this opposite AI psychosis, where anything AI is bad and boils the ocean, takes our jobs and makes RAM expensive. Its a component in the current economy, but things like tariffs, closing the strait of hormuz etc is equally bad for the economy. The author appears to have done actual measurements and put in the work. I agree that the article probably has been run through an LLM, but as long as there's actual new (for me!) information, i don't really care
