True. But why two downvotes? BTW, same logic, nobody cares about yourself or if yourself comment it or don't comment it.

The only reason I open it is to comment "why do I care". I saw ppl downvote the comment, without anyone has a brief: why someone shutdown his/her startup brings many attentions. I don't want to open and read the URL for a reason: why should I read it?

I don't like the select = copy idea. When I browsing, I'd like to select a few words for no reason (well, more like a hight light, or reminds me to focus on them). I just want to select it, not copy them at all. And mid click paste? Little hard to control somehow: looks the mouse easily move a little when I do so.

I do like the context menu way.

I feel the name "Niu York" is OK to me, but it is only my opinion (so not a "fact"). In fact, I feel it's better than a Mexican company named one of the most popular software products in the world as "New York".

Totally agree. I'm using your phone, your app store and download APP which leads me paying 30% to you, and you show me Ads for more money?!

Just for the speed of large file, on macOS, I find the BBEdit is great too. The basic functions of BBEdit can be used for free even.

ALAC is open source and you can feel free to contribute to it or "adopt"/use it.Apple has been using ALAC for a long time on difference devices and platform. Moreover, according to Wikipedia, "compared to some other formats, it is not as difficult to decode, making it practical for a limited-power device, such as older iOS devices". "Adoption" is not a reason, from my point of view, ask a company/app abandon an open sourced format to use another one.

If you can live without Chrome, you can live without all Chrome extensions in the article; If you can live without a desktop/laptop, you can live without all Chrome extensions. I just don't like this kind of eyeball-attracting title: Too much exaggeration

GitHub was down 6 years ago

I may use git wrong, but didn't use GitHub wrong. First, Github provides more functions than a git repo. Second, I haven't seen anyone or any company using Git in the way as Linus said in the video. I believe most companies are not either.

If I leave my car in a garage for repairing, I still own the car, even the garage can access it.

That means, even google can scan my emails, I still own the emails. The topic is about privacy while the title makes it to ownership. That's the misleading part.

The War on Waze 8 years ago

Waze did nothing wrong here. As long as the road is owned by public, and was built and benign maintained by all tax payers, all of us have the right to drive on it. It's selfish and unfair to even try to stop others driving on them.

"Tim Hortons Inc. (known internationally as Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop, colloquially known as Timmies or Tim's) is a Canadian-based multinational fast food restaurant known for its coffee and donuts." -- Wikipedia

Most ppl go Tim Hortons for coffee, not donut.

Yes, Netflix, Sony and Nintendo should donate. And guess what, where did they get the money to donate? From US: customers! So we already donated indirectly.
