On https://news.ycombinator.com/active it's still on the front page.
You're underestimating Microsoft. They're fully capable of fucking up without the help of AI. Although I heard it's really good at that.
They are already forcing OpenAI to keep all logs. Go figure.
However, MS do everything they can to make plugins not work in VSCodium. And the plugin marketplaces are separate now.
This could change on a daily basis, and it's a valid concern anyway.
So much for people preaching Android as an alternative to Apple's walled garden. Enshittification advances apace.
No opposition. Just block the IP address.
I do hope that Juno gets another extension. It's obviously worth it. Its mission is an impressive demonstration that no sooner do we take a closer look at something than we realize we knew nothing and don't understand what we find.
So get ready to be legally bound to leave your front door unlocked because some people store stolen loot behind locked doors!
Came here to say something similar. The sheer amount of IP addresses one has to block to keep malware and bots at bay is becoming unmanageable.
Could this be abused to simulate something like SVN externals? I always found git submodules to be a very bad replacement for that.

Agreed. Do the kids even still know about him?
Any platform that introduces hardware ray tracing for the first time will do so for the sake of emojis.
I would love a mirror ball emoji, why can't we have nice things?
What a wonderfully hacky project!
Noob question: How were the diagrams created?
A good space invader has to look badass and threatening. Extra points if it waves around its pincers in a grabbing motion.
Too bad, I was hoping for an electron microscope photo or something.
And, wouldn't you know it, it actually does not also apply equally to the alternative (humans).
+1. Also, those systems made out of meat were the ones that discovered the strict mathematical models in the first place and the rules by which they work.
I'm getting so tired of this dumb kind of non-argument. You can't defend LLMs on their own merits, so you try to make them look smarter by throwing shade on humans. That's a non sequitur and whataboutism.
Came here to say exactly this.
The lost art of RTFM.
How the fuck is this submission flagged? It's an excellent analysis that explains exactly how and why the AI hype is way worse than all the cryptocurrency scams taken together.
Any form of doubt or questioning is quieted.
Witness any HN comment thread with "pro-AI" vibes (which is almost all of them). It's almost as though AI has become a religion.

Looks like Japan learned from the malicious compliance shenanigans Apple is pulling with the EU. I hope Apple gets served some substantial fines that really hurt when they try to pull the same shit there. And I say, "when", not "if".
I get shown a fucking ad for Google Chrome when searching for “ublock origin lite” in the iOS app store.
That's what you get for letting megacorps get away with monopolistic and anti-competitive behavior.
Why would I prefer a film that was generated by you pressing a button over a film that was generated by me pressing the same button?
I'm so grateful for the Lisp translation. Perl is such a write-only language, my hair curls up just from looking at it.
Has Doom been implemented yet in TypeScript types?
