Neat! Benford’s Law was the first topic I dove into in undergrad math that got a minor publication. Given how well known it is for forensic accounting I’ve always wanted to look into convictions and see if the “average” fraudster has wised up and produces more realistic distributions.

Get a custom domain. Strat using that. Route to Gmail to start but easily decouple.

It took me about a year of updates but now I rarely get anything to a @gmail

I’ve always liked this idea but I think it eventually ends back up with essentially our current system. Users have multiple devices so you quickly get to needing a sync service. Once that gets complex enough, then people will outsource to a third party and then we are back to a FB/Google/Apple sign in and data mgmt world.

I use Fastmail and the main difference I notice is less effective spam filtering — it’s good but not as great as Gmail was.

Overall it’s been an acceptable trade off and I’m glad years ago I switched to a custom domain for email so I can have portability.

Don’t forget you can’t dare offer water or food to those stuck in lines else that’s considered tampering in many (all?) locales in the US.

Mail in voting is just better all around for a geographically diverse place as the US and I wish would be adopted by all states.

This feels like getting taught in school not to cite Wikipedia when the actual digital literacy challenge is deeper— learn where the info comes from and to critically think.

Whether QE is a mechanism in the brain still seems up for debate from the quick literature review I tried, but would love to learn more.

Given the pace of quantum computing it doesn’t seem out of the realm of possibility to “wire up” to LLMs in a couple years.

Is this not a tool that could be readily implemented and refined?

I like this mental model. Orchestration / Agents and using smaller models to determine the ideal tool input and check the output starts to look like delegation.
