The biggest problem with GraphQL in this regard is that it is a single endpoint. API gateways often define authorization rules, throttling rates, and caching times differently for each route. Consequently, you may need to write authorization, throttling, and caching logic in a separate layer or perhaps even in your microservices themselves.

Being an attendee from last year, I can guarantee you that it's people still filing in to find seats well into the presentation. The exit is towards the back left of where the camera is. People going to the right are looking for seats. It's still not an attractive angle.

Same logic with Real Estate agents. My friend's agent tried to get him to sell his house with every low-ball offer that came in...

I'm pushing for more python use at my company as well. It's tough as everyone is drinking the ruby kool-aid.

P.S. I really enjoyed your talk at QCon SF last year!

Great article. This might cause some downvoting, but perhaps they really did bring all this upon themselves and the Anonymous attacks are not warranted in this case. Who stores those kinds of emails in plain text on American soil?

This article pointed out something I hadn't really thought about: random album pictures on facebook get more real estate than profile pictures in the news feed. If I started posting political items through that huge block of news feed, I bet people will start ignoring all my posts...

I really like this idea.

I was messing with the hours manually, and realized it would be very cool to have a timeline-toolbar at the top that would allow the user to fly through hours of the front page.

It would allow us to see the comment count changing over time and seeing which stories quickly disappear and which stick around.
