That's incredible. It's the third time an Israeli company break the $1B mark in less than 6 months, isn't it?

Their tech would be a great addition to Google's Smart-Auth mechanism.
Great read. I would definitely add timing as another factor, but than again, so does pure luck :)
Zendesk Jira integration is awesome
I warmly recommend Payoneer.com, this is how we've been doing it for the last few months and its working great. There are a few fees but they are minor in comparison to PayPal and banks...
For all intended purposes, this one is defintly meant for the AppleTV (or iTV). PrimeSense's tech is still years away from being able to put inside a smartphone (allthough tablets are another option which is more possible in the medium-term future).
I wouldn't say he is wrong, it's just that the analyses is not based on good data.
Best PR ever.
awesome website. I also recommend http://www.learnpython.org
You can create a filter that marks any mail containing "Re:" with a specific label (lets say Reply), and the search for -{label:Reply}
alternatively, skip the labeling part and search for -{"re:"}
Looks awesome. will check this out.
Looks awesome, good luck!
So True. Great post.
Awesome post. Thanks!
Google does have a huge monopoly on the search market, but in the Maps market it has a lot of competition. It is interesting to try and figure out if there is anything to it other than actually digging through Google iteslf...
Very useful addon.
I never said it wasn't. I just said it turned a lot of heads around when it was bought for such a large amount of many. I've talked with many investors who will now start to re-think they investment strategy considering they automatically disqualified consumer oriented companies because they thought companies like these won't be able to make it from Israel.
I am also a pre-orderer but I believe that the MYO guys have a very interesting take on gestures and gesture control. There is still a long way for the product to become mainstream and the fact that the new Kinect has a camera that can do everything the MYO does without an armband on your hand will definitely make the competition very interesting.
from my experience, there are several VCs that actually can smell a good or bad idea "a mile away" and it usually works for them (at least by their returns). But the main thing you need to consider is that most VCs that invest in an early stage do check your idea, but they care a lot more about you and your team (since your idea will probably change a few times during the process).
While it is acceptable to "shop around" when you are looking for funding, it usually doesn't look good if you start "shopping around" after starting a serious process (aka getting a term sheet) with a VC, unless you see a major gap between what they offered and what you think you need. Most people tend to forget that this is a small world (and an even smaller industry) and if you try to "trick" someone, it might come back to hunt you in the future when you need another round of funding or even contacts.
