I assumed the reason there are so many job offerings for kubernetes engineers is either because these jobs have high churn, or because kubernetes takes more work to maintain. I think linux+nginx+postgres+favourite-lang is still the most sensible way to go. Good engineers don't overcomplicate things.

Bugs Apple loves 6 months ago

What about that text selection bug all OSes have had for 20+ years. I'm dragging to select text, and if I drag one pixel too far, it inverts the selection.

Unfortunately not many humans bother to read my website. If LMMs will read and learn from it then at least my work has some benefit to something.

I just don't know what this guy's complaining about. My PC is ancient and FireFox is responsive with dosens of tabs open.

I, the author, have added a clarification on why freedom 0 is unnecessary:

Basically I value Free Software for two reasons: 1. I think it's irresponsible and dangerous for us to be doing all of our computing using technology we cannot understand or maintain. 2. I think community software development is great fun.

Freedom 1, 2 and 3 are all needed for these things, but freedom 0 is not.

If you want to do x, and the license on some software forbids x, then you use a different software. It's no different than if the software were simply unsuitable for x.
