When I was 12, I was scheduled by my regular dentist to have two cavities filled. It was the first time I had anything negative in a dental checkup. We were very poor, so my dad was pissed that it was going to be almost $400 to get them filled. He found a different dentist that was supposed to be a bit cheaper, and I went to that one instead. He was shocked to hear that I had been scheduled for two fillings. Since I was a new patient, he did x-rays, which showed zero decay. The dentist that lied about me having cavities is still in practice today more than 20 years later, and has 4.5 stars on Google.

I fear there's not really a good way to vet Dentists effectively since most people probably never find out that they've been scammed for years. I'd love to learn some new strategies though.

I think you’re talking about the QC 35 ii/45. The same switch you use to turn them on can be used to switch devices. Press it once, and the voice prompt will say what it is currently connected to. Keep pressing it and it’ll start listing other previously connected devices each time you press it. Once it says “hardwaregeeks iPhone” stop clicking the switch and it’ll switch to that. It’s actually pretty intuitive once you get the hang of it. Also you can disconnect the second device by connecting the first device “twice”. Hope this helps.

I was in cub/boy scouts as a kid. One of the first things I did when I got my handbooks was cover the existing binding in duct tape. I even managed to get beige tape to match the color of the boy scout one. Many of the other kids had books with pages falling out of the binding. Mine, on the other hand, held strong. About 20 years later, I still have the books in decent condition with their original duct tape bindings.

It has a number of URLs. I suppose it's possible at least one of the URLs is no longer legitimate

Just a guess, but since it is a file which lists website urls one of those domains was probably flagged as a phishing site, and since your doc had a url with the same domain it got flagged as well. It wouldn't surprise me to find that one of those candidates' sites had actually been hijacked by some phisher. Unfortunately just visiting each site wouldn't necessarily reveal which one it was since they'd likely have tucked the php shell or other phishing stuff at some path away from the root of the site to avoid detection from the site's maintainer.

We’re one of the fastest-growing digital product and experience agencies, helping the world’s biggest brands and coolest startups become leaders in digital change.

We design and build intuitive digital products and accelerate the transformation journey, solving technical and creative challenges from a truly customer-first perspective.

I am on the engineering team and I can get you an interview immediately, so message me if you choose to apply. jake dot johnson at somoglobal dot com

I'd like to register for the course, but it asks me to complete information about my company. Surely, if I was only thinking of starting a startup and had not already started one I wouldn't have that information to provide. So, I'm not entirely sure how to complete the registration other than just making stuff up.

aren't those ads targeted to the viewer (you) rather than the content of the video? if you watch it in incognito do you see those same types of ads? I'm not disagreeing with your sentiment, just curious. Also, the uploader of the video certainly has made a conscious choice to monetize a video targeted at children. YouTube certainly didn't do anything to help the situation, but some of the blame should probably go toward the uploader of the video.

As an aside: my kids occasionally watch videos in the YouTube Kids app (version of youtube curated for kids). That app certainly never shows wildly inappropriate ads (though it does have ads).
