Staff-level product engineer, 15 years in startups — frontend-deep, full-stack current. For the last 8 months I've been turning designs into a living product at https://jest.com — everything you see and tap there, plus the backend behind it: the real-time chat system, unified Stripe checkout, passkey auth, and the PWA layer that makes it feel native (213 production PRs, if you want it in numbers). I work agent-first with Claude Code, kept honest with end-to-end types and tests. Before that: sole frontend engineer on a real-time collaboration platform (Vue 3 + Electron, typed WebSockets from OpenAPI schemas), and staff frontend at V7, where I built the virtualized 100k-row table at the heart of V7 Go. 20k+ Stack Overflow reputation.

Looking for: senior/staff product engineering at a company that hires in the EU. Backend in TypeScript or C# preferred; I like owning features end to end and measuring whether they worked.

How Normal Am I? 6 years ago

Tell me more about your other stats, I want to be like this. What should I focus on? My body mass lolz.

Couldn't agree more. It's Apple's world, if you are asked to play in a certain way - play it. Build your own ecosystem if you are not happy there. It's like everything in life, if you are not happy with something you have to find a way to make the change, don't Q_Q

Vue.js vs. React 9 years ago

This part of the documentation is pretty unchanged for the last 6 months I think, how come it gained so much attention today? We've been using Vue instead of Angular 2 and we are pretty happy with our everyday work. So +1 for the VueJS team.

I am not sure if I have to pay so much extra money for fancy bels and whistles that do not help me as a programmer. I was really hoping for performance boost rather than fancy touch screen that makes me watch the keyboard instead of touch typing.

What I saw from the presentation made my actually go back home and check what Windows announced yesterday, since I was quite disappointed (I actually found the presentation of the surface book more close to what I was hoping the next macbook pro should be).

I believe the only thing that continues to save Apple for consumers like most of the ppl around here is that it is Unix based.

Goodbye? 11 years ago

I am not sure in what situation you are, but before thinking on what you think is the problem, check if you are completely healthy. Even when we think that the situation is crystal clear and we have tried everything and we have all the control over everything, please keep in mind your mental health is tightly coupled with your body's health. The picture is not the same when seen from a different perspective. Even if you do not feel pain or anything you can suffer from something you didn't know and it changes the only thing you trust - your brain. Do not be in a rush try everything in this life and take most of it.

I will always remember a phrase from a movie, where a little girl (suffering from a serious disease) was asked "Do you know what happens after life?" and she responded "There are many different ice-cream flavors that I still haven't tried, I want to try as many as possible when I still have the chance. Then one day I will understand what happens after life - that day will come anyway."

Go get an icecream and see what you can try tomorrow! Be healthy, stay alive!
