Blazor provides a number of render models or modes. You can now create SSR websites with streaming.

The .Net team has made pretty significant strides in minimizing the bundle size and I would expect that to continue. It’s now also possible to combine pre-rendering and streaming with web assembly to improve the loading experience.

We evaluated a few options and settled on Blazor after tiring of the build chain and dependency complexity of the TypeScript world. So far, it’s been nothing but a breath of fresh air to work with.

It’s important to clarify which model you’re working with when discussing Blazor. A lot of complaints seem to stem from using the Blazor server websocket model outside of its specific use cases. The web assembly and prerendered models are more comparable to modern developments in other ecosystems.

I live in Berlin where many people live in low-rise apartments with no elevators and keep their bikes downstairs. I believe this is quite common for many cities in Europe. What I don't understand is how people are charging their bikes. Are they really lugging this thing up multiple flights of stairs and charging it in their apartments every few days? I've heard it's pretty heavy. Or, does it not need to be charged very often?

How VCs Make Money 7 years ago

I have not tried it but I have seen it done. Some VCs like to have in-house technical expertise to better assess candidate companies. I'm not sure if it would be a clean transition but there definitely seems to be a pathway for it.

Similar but I’ll ask for a range which has a built in confidence level. A lot of developers are very reluctant to give estimates for various reasons but if the reason is that they don’t know where to start, I’ll do a thought experiment with them.

I ask first will the task take 20 years to finish and they usually laugh and say of course not. Then I ask what about 20 seconds and they laugh again. We keep going on both sides of the boundary until they stop laughing and it starts sounding more reasonable.

Then I have something to work with like 3 to 6 months which gives me more options. I can accept the risk or I can take other steps to reduce it or break it into more manageable bites. It’s not perfect but it’s worked pretty well.

It's possible this person is known to the HN community but would prefer to keep their identity private for this question however I agree with your sentiment, these posts should only be accepted in exceptional circumstances. There are other, perhaps even more beneficial places to ask for this kind of help.

I would genuinely like to know more about how this person is connected to this community or how they discovered it and what they thought this community in particular could assist with. Could you address that OP?
