In the hopes of someone at Mozilla reading this, I don't like you or anything of what you do, you're simply just more tolerable than google but you are not fun, not great, not good, your browser is ok but as a company you are just annoying and i wish you'd shut up more.
and a collective agreement would actually make thing worse as it puts some restrictions on the relation between employer/employee.
The collective agreement puts 0 restrictions, it's essentially just a form of safeguard to protect employees from abuse. They can still have higher salaries, bonuses, longer vacations etc.
Think of it this way instead, the people working there have their own rights to refuse to do so. They the people aren't "Postnord" the company, they are individuals who are free to act on their own, they aren't slaves to their company.
Well according to the thread Tesla has threatened workers which is illegal but unless there is actual evidence of Tesla threatening there isn't much that can be done. This obviously isn't done yet so we'll see what happens but Tesla most likely will lose this battle and with so many people knowing about it, it could have a tremendous effect in other countries as well which is great!
I would love to get some sort of GDPR compliant version of Deno Deploy for EU companies as we unfortunately cannot use Deno to host our service.
The problem is exactly that attitude turning what used to be highly accessible and interactive apps into elephantine "native apps" that need the latest and most user-hostile version of $BIG_OS (which doesn't run on older hardware) to do what was perfectly possible with technology of a decade ago, or even less functionality. I wonder what is more responsible for that; the fact that people don't care about history, or that corporate propaganda has pushed them away from realising it.
The web is way more free and open than operating systems. And if you want to build a website with only HTML and vanilla JS nothing is stopping you. There are websites made in the 90s that still work today. I much prefer the web, web apps and PWAs to their native counterparts.
I have used the first Surface Laptop since the release of it and I can say I have been very happy with it and never had any problem whatsoever.
Why would they be? Isn't Blazor a framework for C# to replace JS with WASM?
They probably aren't. Remember that Apple isn't very fond of the web app idea because it could make them lose their app store and the revenue from it.
Agreed, I really hope Dart gets more adoption now with the help of Flutter. I would especially want it to get some more back end love.
