+1 I used this style to version bump, and wish the article gave suggestions on working alternatives.

Lately I use CalVer instead of SemVer, so it hasn't been an issue. I like the idea of smart auto-bump for versions.

Claude will use such enthusiasm that it will convince me that we're onto something. I'll be excited, and feed the idea back to a new conversation with Claude. It'll remind me that the idea makes risky trade offs, and would be better solved by with a simple solution. Try it out.

I love that NAT gateway and Cloudformation+CDK+Proton are on this list. I've spent the last 3 years building with these tools, and these are some of the most frustrating things in our stack. Our NAT gateway costs are gross. We pay to have the ability to send traffic, but we don't use it enough for that price. Meanwhile, CDK hid the awkwardness of Cloudformation from us for awhile, now we're too tangled to easily leave it.

+1 yes, for a service using network caching like using Cloudflare. I would've referred to their CDN as the Edge of our network.
