The US needs Stingers to defend either themselves or a current NATO member exactly how?

Because clever replies like "got news to catch up":

Hint: neither the US or NATO members are directly involved in the war between UA and RU, or any other war (yes, the US is always at war with other nations.)

US giving away billions in equipment for a foreign actor and thus creating the need to replenish stock is all on them.

Funny to think what the US will gain tru this meddling in European affairs by though talk and providing billions in support to Zelenskys regime: even more bases outside their jurisdiction to further their global dominance, and the ones on Ukrainian territory lie right next to Russia. MAJOR gain. And on a second note ofc increased TAM for their products and services, fuelled by Ukrainian indebtness.

One can only puke thinking about that.

These are exactly the kind of immigrants any country should be desperate to have.

People of often having a cultural, religious and moral background completely different to more-or-less original value Canadians? How will that work?

Oh i guess by appeasing everybody to create that multicultural society with less & less identity of its own, just the same bland globalized aftertaste. The major Canadian cities beside Montreal and Quebec are already taken.

At least in my and other countries, there seems no city with restrictions on moving in. Would solve some issues and stop making public sector, traffic worse for true locals. (HN seems to fancy a ban on Airbnbs, as if your quiet single tourist poses an issue...)

As if an ever-expanding human dwelling is desirable.

Immigration quotas for countries exist (well, at least for sensible countries), we should apply that on a regional and even local level too. And don't account for that typical Middle Eastern large family in such numbers, they shouldn't be there anyway.

Good question. I cannot even 100% remember why i left a couple of years ago. IIRC it was a compromised cache / logon on a device i didn't control anymore and the general uneasyness of having my digital identities stored on a foreign service that could be hacked / could lock me out any time.

Keepass plus syncthing works for me; Keepass' autotype is great.

In my own multi-decade IT experience: most people working in SW almost never think in these directions (and therefore catch such associations before the public does), because they are dorks, and often lacking any humor. Marketing dudes definitely are more fun and know how to party, AND how to assess possible connotations.

And why would Softies think in those directions - fannies are considered black scary animals down there, i heard.

Of course.

I opted specifically for a fixed office desk as i don't share my keyboard / mouse with others, and it grosses me out if people use mine or i have to use theirs.

Laugh all you want, just observe the typical shiny keycaps of most people's keyboards. You won't find those on mine, i wash hands frequently.

Btw: i bet quite some of you who are laughing about my 'regulations' just started to wash hands and wear masks because the CDC etc. told you so, and saw no issues with it.

I eat unwashed roadside fruits, stuff from fields, etc. am not too picky re: freshness of foods etc., use public pools (...just hope people really shower before they dive in) or the office / restaurant restroom, etc.

Just don't have an desire to sit in seats where bums and people with god-knows-what conditions have been, or hold onto rails touched by people scratching their butt. Washing hands frequently, espeially after handling cash + followed by having a snack. Didn't your parents teach you that?

Not having issues with dirt etc., if it is MY dirt. How many strangers to you willingly exchange frsh or dried bodily fluids with?

Also a reason i have absolutely no intention to ever visit India, if i don't have to for business reasons. And i've walked Ethopian streets.

In fact, my grandma would be upset if I set in my daily jeans upon my bed - jeans that set in school seat, street car seat, benches, dirt, etc, should not be in contact with where I'll sleep.

This. And not only where you sleep. Public transport seats or even chairs that were used by many, many people over the years are just yuck. Same with door handles (i so hate the Americanbones - you can't use your elbow or wrist to push them!), public transport, handrails, ATM pinpads...

Singapore is effectively a single party system too, but look how well they live. It's definitely a mentality / cultural / tribal / ethnicity thing; btw just look within the US: Blacks don't do well, but Asians do. Regardless of how many parties participate in decision-making.

Given my own experiences from travelling to 43 countries, the difference in drive, willingness to work, abilities or lack thereof / lazyness shown in daily life is certainly very visible between Africa and Asia, Europe, America.
