It's amazing the lies about Trump people believe. You can post almost any blatant false thing and people will eat it up. In fact a typical routine is to post a story on on some horrible thing he said. Get the masses riled up. Then quietly retract the story later. Rinse and Repeat.

There is already talk about making the next candidate the worst person imaginable, whomever he his.

I used to love paired programming. I've done it successfully a number of times, but I had a few years where I did't know if I could function or not at any given moment.

One minute I'm solving the hardest problems a company has. Next I can't remember where I'm working, Resolves itself in a few minutes, but leaves me exhausted for a couple hours. Scares the crap out of people.

It's not fun. I had a small stroke while in a music lesson. Instructor was very confused as to why I suddenly couldn't play or follow any instructions.

Programming has been this weird mix where I would see a simple problem. Say a fibonacci sequence. Something I could do in my sleep.

I would look at it. Understand that I can solve this in seconds. Then it would take me a week to muddle through it, badly.

So I know how to program just fine, but I somehow I can't actually do it. So it's been relearning things I think I know how to do.

The saving grace is people would often ask how to approach a difficult problem and I could still quickly figure out what the issue is, and what approach to take to resolve it. So I was very helpful to others, but I couldn't do the work I suggested.

Weird stuff.

Funny. That's not how life works for most people.

Most people earn what they can, and live off it as best they can. If that means single bedroom apartment with 10 family members eating beans and rice, then that is what it is.

People on HN tend to be out of touch with how lower income people actually live.

Perhaps you could open a restaurant and pay people as much as they want to live a comfortable life. If you could do that and stay in business I would be most impressed.

Upper Limit. Hiring you at $3,000 a month will increase my income by $3,000.

No reason to hire you. Below $3,000 and I can make money.

But ~1/3 employees are lazy and I can't fire them. So I have build in some safety margin for the bad employee's.

So I can pay you $2,000 a month and on average I'll break even. No thanks.

So I can pay you $1,500 a month, I'll make $500.

Had a hunter with a blue crab named Seafood in World of Warcraft for years.

He was somewhat famous on the server at the time. Eventually got rid of him because he had no benefits compared to other pets. No logical reason to keep him.

Huge regret. I grieved for that damn crab for months. Finally stopped playing that class all together.

plain chicken. broccoli and sweet potatoes. All plain. No spices, no oils. I wanted a baseline. Water or green tea only.

This was self directed. I was in horrific agony every moment of every day, stuck in bed 20 hours a day.

I slowly added things back in, most things caused issues. Eventually I realized I was just re-inventing the AIP diet.

Few months later I was out kayaking every weekend.

Last president pushed hard for NATO counties to up their military spending to agreed levels. Everyone laughed.

Russia has been an excellent motivator for our allies to get serious on defense spending.

Our absurdly oversized military has prevented a lot of serious wars.

I'm involved in many support forums.

A few patterns I've noticed.

The people who have been mostly managing their conditions via diet without understanding whats happening. Basically they eat healthy, and it mostly works.

People who love food / don't want to cook healthy and refuse to acknowledge the possibility that's causing problems.

People who say they eat healthy but really don't. (Salad once a week) Or a variation, people who ate a salad, didn't get better and claim diets don't work).

The ones who are at deaths door and are finally desperate enough to try anything.

Actually following a strict diet like KETO / AIP. Paying close attention to trigger foods, etc. These ones often can reduce or eliminate medication.

Learning to be honest with yourself about food is one of the major challenges. Giving up various food addictions can be brutal.

She probably has an underlying condition that's not being addressed. Autoimmune is quite common, but could be lots of things. Diet changes are sometimes enough.

Sometimes a massage gun and Bob and Brad youtube channel will fix muscle knots that are the real issues.

Fun fact, if you're having a lot of headaches and take pain killers daily you can start suffering rebound headaches.

Basically a highly painful headache caused by the pain killers. This creates a nasty feedback loop.

If your suffering head pain try and rotate pain killers and have days of no pain killers.

Of course you should be trying to find out the reasons for the pain so you can stop taking them.

I've read articles to this affect as well.

I have social clubs near me that start at 45,000 a year to join. (You're required to spend a lot of money). Men only up until somewhat recently.

Basically golf/tennis and dining for rich folks or people they are trying to impress. Got invited a lot when I would work directly with fortune 100 CEO's. Was both fun and educational.

Interesting to meet board members of companies I loved / hated.

It's a cycle. We are reliving what happened under Carter now. A pro growth (low taxes, low regulation) president will come into power in 2 years.

We will have a decade or two of amazing growth.

People will forget basic economic principles again, raise taxes and regulations over spend like crazy and then it will fall apart again.
