Cool to see this on HN -- I wrote a program for a psych lab in college that was exploring this effect. The idea was to see if homogenous sensory stimuli had a faster reaction time & accuracy compared to disparate ones.

eg. Was the response to [ Bouba-like image + Bouba-like audio ] faster/more accurate than [ Bouba-like image + Kiki-like audio ]

Seemed like it may provide some insight into speech perception and synesthesia.

Maybe something like this[0] will become more common. Seems to have had some success in increasing the Salmon population (via plankton boom) but was obviously quite controversial.

Phil Demers, who worked at Marineland (referenced in article), was just on the Joe Rogan Experience (episode #1297). They discuss this legislation pretty heavily.

IBM seems to be using swift on the server [1], probably most notably with their Kitura web framework [2].

TensorFlow also has a Swift API in development [3]. The people at FastAI seem quite excited about it [4].

I've used Apache Jena (Java) for a research project with DBpedia. I know there are some other options that are a bit quicker for processing RDFs, but I think most are proprietary.
