Hello there!

I built this website for finding children's books. Instead of scrolling through videos, let the children scroll through books

Currently there is only one source for the books as The Internet Archive and other sources are not quite working well, but I will try to integrate other sources and libraries too. If you have any suggestions, I would be happy to hear them.

I used Claude Code for the most of the code but with strict instructions to follow (mainly because I was too lazy to write it myself ). Still I am positive there's plenty of room for optimizations.

I've hidden the post that I posted few days ago, because still had things to fix and wanted to post at different time, so it was not exactly shown to the people :)

And about getting early adopters ... I've tried many options. Have IG, Threads, FB accounts that I develop in order to have an audience, who could fill this gap.

Tried also to post on lots of different mediums, have also Google Ads running, FB ads running, etc. ... just the only real feedback that I got was here :D

I will take a look into some "UX review" services.

Based on all the feedback we will try to find a solution where we can show the correct map position also with adblocker on.

The other problem with this however is that in this early stage the only monetization that we have in mind are google ads.

Wow ... I must admit I am thrilled about all the feedback!

There are lots of things to be fixed and improved for sure and all those comments were just the thing I needed!

Maybe one other question ... what do you thing about the ideas that I have for other features:

-Build-in resell marketplace - Option to sell a ticket that you already own if you cannot attend the event.

-Adding own events.

-Live-streaming and PPV.

-Build-in navigation to the event.

-Email notifications about similar events to the one you attended.

-Create groups of people with whom to go to given event.

I hear you! The bottom app bar is something that I need to rework for sure!

1. Ahmm I assume you are using it on PC and you mean events on the front-page are in Cyrillic? You say - "I would like to be able to get from the event to the map pin position." - you mean from front-page to pin on the map or you mean from search to pin on the map?

What do you think about removing the landing page all together and using only the map page?

I've up-scaled the ifra ... for now it is up again :)

Yep ... you should at least earn something from your startup in order to leave your job in my opinion!

Also about AI ... the VCs want you to at least have AI strategy for your startup. In other words, does your startup do something that can be smashed by a single additional feature by one of the big AI softwares.

The first thing that comes to mind is charging for access to your community members for promotions. For example: "Have you seen the new software XYZ that helps founders to ___"

Btw what code do you write?

Build audience. Learn sales. No one can take you that away.

I am working on 485789344573985749 projects where I am trying to build audiences and create products and AI is very helpful in such a situation.

Also as a developer you can use AI in various ways to help you out for simple dev tasks :)

Do you have a link to the community? An invitation? What kind of stuff is discussed there? That could be your starting point.

Often the ideas come from some obstacle or problem that you've experienced.

E.g. during the COVID almost nothing worked and I was stuck at home curious if there is still anything happening around me? And I literally wanted to see on the map if there was anything in my neighborhood at all. But none of the existing solutions worked for me. So I decided to make my own. So I've created https://wiwo.world/map. There you can find things that are happening nearby.

With me the problem is more with the consistency of the executions rather than the idea itself.

As I wrote in another comment I often abandon a project for the next one.

Honestly, I do thing the execution is much more difficult and important than the idea. For example in our above project we have tons of ideas what other features to include but we want to make it with the active feedback by the users and we have a huge struggle to find any early adopters, mainly because we have never searched for such before.

One other controversial but possible approach is just to ask AI for ideas.

Or maybe you can take a look at all the existing products and see how you can improve one of them in your own way.

Unfortunately however, as I said above, most of the time, people fail when it comes time for the execution.

Do you finish them? Because I have the problem that I never finish the things that I work on :D I always come up with another idea and another and nothing gets to the stage for others to actually use it :)

Depends on the career that you wanna build. Or more specifically the clients that you want to have working for.

JEE is more enterprise oriented, used in lots of big companies.

I personally would recommend you Django, it's more flexible in my opinion.

Also I prefer Python 100 times over Java, but that is very biased on my side :)

P.S. I am mostly using React + NodeJs (ExpressJS), again personal preference here :)
