As others have already mentioned, I believe that it's mainly the curious and engaged students who will benefit greatly from AI. And for those who cheat or use AI to deceive and end up failing a written exam, well, maybe that's not such a bad thing after all...

It is absolutely mind boggling to me that even when we are aware of all these issues there isn’t an immediate reaction to it in terms of just shutting these platforms down till they fix their issues

Devin aims to replicate the entire software engineering workflow, including a custom IDE and shell environment. And while I think devin is far far from perfect, it shows the direction we are heading in the medium term

I got Mistral-7b running locally, and although it wasn't hard, it did take some time nonetheless. I just wanted to try it out and was not that interested in the technical details.

Use the API and set "always answer short" as system role. This has the side effect that you use less tokens. Compared to the 20$ for Chat-GPT premium, you also save some money.

Just use plain HTML + a little bit of basic CSS. No need to overcomplicate things

The official docs say, you need at least one successful API invoice to get access to GPT-4.

There are regional trains in Germany where this exists. Even if second class is completely full, first class remains mostly empty. It feels like a waste of space, as the downside for the general public is much greater than any potential gains for first-class travelers and train operators.

Plain text is the best. But instead of having no dependencies as the article suggests, I simply use Apple Notes with all formatting and "intelligent" features turned off.

As I started my studies, I tried to develop a little Android game. It took way longer than expected, being also very frustrating from start to finish. I kept working on it for a couple of months, set up a Google Play account, created some images for the Play Store, and then released it. As expected, it didn't get much traction, but I felt very proud and happy about it. Would recommend! :)

For every opinion, you will find a suitable study on the subject. But what I think is obvious is that if you don't look at the actual gaming itself, you'll notice that other activities are being crowded out by the excessive use of video games. Many friends from my youth still play 5+ hours of video games a day. They don't seem very happy and many of them lack perspective. In other words, do we want our kids to spend hours a day playing Fortnite when there are alternatives like sports activities or spending time with friends and family?

It is very interesting to see how strongly the opinions differ on this topic. Both sides have good and understandable arguments. I think that in the future, jobs will also be advertised with the phrase "primarily in the office".

Could you provide an example of what you're asking for? It appears to work well for me. I would estimate that 80% of the answers are very good, and 10% provide at least a glimpse of the information I was seeking.
