What’s the main draw on your book vs others?

How bad is it there for sexual/gender minorities (aka gay/trans people). Is it livable if you are visibly transgender?

How bad is the crime? I've talked to a few who've lived there but they always tell me the crime forced them to move out. Do hijackings at robots still happen often?

From what I've seen, Chile is a relatively safe and intellectually free place to live. They aren't as progressive on LGBTQIA tolerance as say the west coast of the US, but they are slowly getting there.

It isn't dirt cheap though. A house in a nice part of Santiago will cost you around 300-500k (USD).

Cryptsend was created as a result of my company having to share large amounts of medical data with our clients. We couldn't find an easy and secure solution, so we sat down and created cryptsend. Our codebase is currently in alpha stages so any audits/improvements/security vulns you find would be really appreciated!

If you want to work at FAANG or Uber/Dropbox/etc then yes you don't want certs. For lower tier companies/smaller ones then it might make a difference.

Remove your certs. They are a negative signal for most companies in tech unless you are in infosec (which you aren't judging from your resume)

I find that what helps me the most are the '--help' commands, especially if it has multilevel support, like seen with the docker cli tool.

The problem with just providing examples is it doesn't always tell me what each argument does, especially if I have multiple arguments, making it seem like the tool works by having a 'magical' combination of arguments, instead of explaining what each argument does.

I agree with this. My girlfriend has unfortunately had to deal with racist name calling as an Asian (I can't imagine what it must be like for those that are even more targeted by the alt-right) in San Francisco, a "liberal" city in the eyes of Americans.

I just built this as a sideproject with inspiration from http://textio.com after getting frustrated with the lack of feedback and haphazard advice for coverletters on a multitude of blogs. I built it using Flask, SpaCy, Textacy and NLTK with a bunch of heuristics that I took from writing blogs and form talking to experienced manager.

This is just an MVP so it isn't super fast and is missing a few nice-to-have features like HTTP.

Sadly though, for us Canadians there is no LegalZoom or RocketLawyer (although I might be totally wrong on this one!)

So its either like a few thousand to setup an INC (LLC's don't exist here) or go the cheap but high liability route with a sole proprietorship.

I contract to a startup as a developer, but I'm not sure if that makes me 'in a startup' or not, so I put other.

My favourite quote is from Winston Churchill during some fo the bleakest days for Britain in WWII. I find it especially relevant to startups and entrepreneurs, much like the audience of HN itself.
