You are right, I am. That doesnt change the underlying reasons for a company like Uber to make this statement. It is manipulation of the public, intended to make Uber look moral, as well as intended to reassure their cheap labor base. The fact that people on here are championing it shows how effective this kind of PR is, even among the educated people of HN.

Yeah I think the same thing. If we compare Hadoop to Spark, Spark is just easier and faster. It is superior in almost every way (unless we are talking about 1PB+ scale). I think data science will be automated. Some things wont, but engineers can already get pretty far by jamming data into ML packages.

Right but your assertion here is completely unfounded. It is a theory. Quantifying that nothing in someones life (or their past) is causing them depression is near impossible. This charade is completely scientifically unprovable.

Most of marketing at traditional compnaies can be automated by ML. This is already happening, but there are huge F500 companies where the employees have an incentive not to automate.

Yeah I had the same problem. I actually found this online course at ylanguage.com it was really effective.
