Maybe you are looking for Maxmind Geo IP [1]. Happy if anyone proposes better alternatives. I haven't worked with this for a couple of years.

I have had similar experience. For me the most annoying was the work they put in making it difficult (nearly impossible) to use with conda environments.
I found conda-forge community quite helpful here [1]. They make feedstock repositories based on templates that cover a lot of automation. Their bots pickup updated packages in pypi and automatically file merge requests, run tests and even merge updates if tests pass successfully. Basically you only need to maintain your recipe here and there when your dependencies change.
I believe many "Czechoslovaks" feel with Tibet and also Ukraine these days. For those interested in history of "living torches" fighting for freedom:
Sadly there is very little activity aiming at bare metal and VMs nowadays. If you look at features presented during couple of past months, you will find mainly kubernetes. Switching from charms to operators. But kudos to openstack charmers holding on and doing great work.
Just go incognito in the meantime..
Don't turn this into "media fighting against Facebook" thingy or whatever you just tried. It's not only about them. Yes, they have the strength/influence and they used it. But what about every other Page? What about small businesses and communities that are now losing their viewers? They have no chance to get noticed if they want to speak up against those changes. And yes you can say that they should expect it, but maybe not? I think you shouldn't because FB is just using its strength and is negatively affecting freedom of the internet. Why freedom of the internet? Because of the size of the mass that they can reach.
I totally agree with you. I would like to know if they actually have any reasons why they don't give people this option, because even though people could tend to opt-out in masses - there still is possibility to motivate them somehow. About the feedback, it may not be straightforward for the same reason that people tend to ignore it, so I guess they have it figured out already and I hope their metrics are set well enough to notice issues.
