I find Safari 3 to run very well on Windows, and I've been using it at home lately. It passes the Acid3 test at 100 percent.

while a senior in high school myself and my friends took LSD and while it was certainly not lab-grade acid, just street acid, it was a fascinating experience. We repeated it a couple times more and by the end of the third trip, I felt that there was nothing more to learn from it so I stopped. They kept on for a few more years. I read as many books as I could get my hands on from the library, including a fascinating book called "Acid Dreams" which told how LSD was used by the CIA for research into a possible truth serum. While I would not recommend LSD to anyone for recreational purposes now, it is important that we can learn more about how the brain works by having the chance to use LSD as a learning tool. I think it can be used to help people with various disorders, if used by a qualified physician/counselor and in a good safe environment. Cary Grant was an LSD user and he felt it helped him a great deal late in his life.

it's a great article. lots of will power in there. I like it. I've recently decided to get into a routine as well to try to lose 25 pounds. I'm not fat, but if I can lose 25 pounds I'll be at my target weight. And working out is fun if you get into a habit of doing it regularly. Don't think I could go as far as to stop eating meat, but I am planning to stop drinking beer on weekdays as a start, and most likely stop all together later on this summer. well I was 15 years old when my dad bought our Mac, the Mac 512k. I thought it was a brilliant design, it easily fit on a desktop, was portable from room to room, it had a gorgeous display (compared to other computers at the time), and it came with a good word processing (MacWrite) app and a fun graphics app (MacPaint). I think making the computer small made it easier to approach for a lot of other people. You know, less intimidating. I've read quite a few books about the Mac, and they had their eyes on IBM, not Atari, as their primary competitor. And I think we have to credit Jef Raskin for a lot of the design decisions, after all, he was the one who started the Macintosh project in the first place, although his original vision for it was more like a netbook than what it eventually became. I still have my Mac Plus at home, sitting in a box, and it still works perfectly as it has since 1989 when I got it before entering university. It's the same form factor as the original Macintosh, and it's a design icon in the computer world.

This is art and history combined, it's wonderful. This seems like a format worth developing more, it could make learning about history easier for kids (heck, and adults too).

Macintosh GUI was pioneered at Xerox PARC, not at Apple. But Steve was smart enough to see the value in it and bring it into the marketplace with the Lisa. The Lisa flopped, and over in another building there was a team developing Macintosh. Steve got involved and the rest is history.

I have to say that I love using Google Maps to visit different cities. I went to London last fall and was able to see some streets I walked down as well as others that I wanted to walk down but didn't. I can only imagine the street view images will slowly be taken down, until rather than having a nearly continuous street we will have photos here and there and blackness in between. Interesting that all the street view photos have to be re-done in Japan with the camera 18 inches lower to preserve peoples privacy behind residential walls. Wonder if that will be done in the rest of the world. Anyway, it's a really great time waster. Thanks Googlites!
