Definitely agree with the article and thoughts. Little things also make the team feel valued and appreciated, quick thanks, short appreciation/feedback, etc. Feels good.

It's interesting having been on the side of being an employee with manager not acknowledging those things overtime it's wearing. But also tough for owner/manager to make sure to keep doing it too. Either way, a good reminder to keep the positivity flowing

Out of all these haterade comments, I don't see any having scaled a company or team. Don't read HBR if you don't want to improve as a leader, simple

Printavo | Chicago / Remote-first | Full-time | Ruby on Rails | https://www.printavo.com I started Printavo from running a screen printing business in college. We needed simple, software to keep track of our orders as they came in. The solutions that were available were complicated and expensive. We built Printavo to fix this.

Today, we're bootstrapped, profitable and a team of 24 in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, and Cary (remote-first). We're looking for Mid-Sr Software Engineers to join and help us continue to grow.

Interesting but what if you already started sales? Would be very hard to distinguish "Organic Signups" as when you get a sales team you'll find adoption goes up. Following up on leads, helping them get going, etc (if the price point supports it, usually $200/mo+)

Goodbye IFTTT 6 years ago

This is why B2C businesses are so hard. Imagine trying to convince people to pay you $2-10/mo LOL

Zero. No way such massive companies can swing all of a sudden.

- There's not enough tests still - People are scared of doing anything even if stores open up - Most importantly, sales just don't magically appear with the snap of your fingers, takes time to ramp up again - Companies are still heavily on only essential spending, that doesn't change overnight

They're talking no public events til 2021 now. I think the realization is that this isn't just a 1-2mo ordeal. It's going to be a 1-2yr shift.

Based on some of these comments, the degree to which so many are out of touch is unbelievable. 17 MILLION people have filed for unemployment and I'm sure this week will be another 6M as companies don't keep this much cash on hand.

Tech's been living in a bubble for a long time and reality is starting to hit. Get out and talk to real people, not your Slack buddies working in SF.

Seems factless. Some of the CEOs I've encountered like this DO heavily do that. So much so they open new offices in the cities where they have homes.

Also fair to mention that it's not as much of a time savings too but convenience they can afford. But they mainly by time on NetJets, and not the jet.
