Prior to Hubspot we used Close.io - same thing. Every email sent (and every reply) showed up in Close.io in the context of the contact(s).

Yup. A Land Rover was stolen right near my house in broad daylight and I live in a very good neighbourhood. Cops came by and asked me if I had home cameras, but they explained to me this is very common. High-end SUVs are targeted and this is run by organized crime. Cars are overseas within days to be re-sold.

The thief just hangs around the target, waits for the fob to be used, clones the signal and can steal the car within 3 minutes.

I’ve used a similar app (Jiffy) and it’s awesome. Payment is fixed hourly and goes through the app so no money is exchanged with the contractor. Got my dishwasher fixed next day no problem.

a) Just go to the store and back wearing a mask while indoors b) Spend most of their leisure time outdoors - because what else can you do?

I haven't been holed up this whole time. I'm outside multiple times every day (dog walks, kids playground etc.) and I don't know anyone who works in a factory, meat processing plant, hospital etc. hence my curiosity how people think they're getting it.

You're not alone. I've had this exact experience so much so, that we stopped using AWS Lambda, and switched to using the the various Amazon API calls individually and gluing together a pipeline using a job queue.

This sounds like exactly the right formula for startup success:

1) People with experience in a given industry

2) People who have seen the problem over & over again

3) Large businesses with lots of money but lacking in skill/will to automate the solution themselves

4) Outsider comes and says "hey we can automate that really boring problem for you save you money"

For people who know more about this stuff than me: are these sorts optimizations only possible because Apple controls the whole stack and can make the hardware & OS/software perfectly match up with one another or is this something that Intel can do but doesn't for some reasons (tradeoffs)?
