You seem to be confused, Linux is the most stable OS available for desktop or servers.

I was thinking the same thing but I tend to create a large compressed backup file and upload that instead. My backup file is currently under 100 gigs, the most critical files not my whole system's files. If I backed up my gaming account (I don't need to since I use Steam Cloud) and compressed it, it'd probably only be another 50 to 100 gigs. This way I should never hit the 5 million file limit.

gjsman-1000's point and yours make sense and somewhere on the page it was suggested to start running DC power just for LED lighting in homes. Until then, our new plan is to use LED light strips and stop buying LED bulbs. The idea is that the strips have an external power supply so I'm hoping the LED's will have the lifetime they deserve.

I spent most of my life in incandescent bulb lighting and rarely remember changing a light bulb. LED bulbs I can remember changing multiple times in the last few years since we started using them.

Yes I was using the non-free version. It was working fine until I'd set the machines to auto-update then one day found out they had zero connectivity after an update. I thought about going around to each machine and manually trying to revert back whatever was in the updates that broke it and just decided to wipe and install Ubuntu back on them.
