I've been using Next.js since 2017 (before dynamic routes were even a thing!).

The app router kinda sucks so we're staying with /pages. No complaints thus far with a team of 6 engineers.

If I could make one recommendation: hire a UX/UI designer ASAP. The less technical the audience, the more intuitive and easy to navigate the UI needs to be.

Our company focuses on home service businesses and they get roadblocked super easily. I think you'll be glad you did it earlier rather than later. Otherwise, the ux debt will pile up and it will be quite a project a year down the line.

This doesn't make sense from the hiring side to me. I have a small agency with 10 employees and it's just common sense to put salary info in the job listing.

Otherwise we both waste each other's time if it's not up to their expectations. What is the benefit of obscuring it until it's time to present an offer?

Let's say I own a bunch of SPLK and want to make some passive income. I am the counterparty to the call purchaser in this example.

I can sell call options 10% out of the money each week and make some nice cash. If my plan was to hold the stock long term, there's no downside risk because if the stock goes down, I get to keep the cash (premium) from selling the calls. If it goes sideways or slightly up I get to keep it as well.

The only "downside" is it goes up >10% in which case i've made that 10% + premium, but I've now had my stock taken away from me.

In this case, I lose out on an additional 10% in upside because it went up 20% overnight.

A lot of complaining from one of the most privileged and highest paid classes of workers ever to exist in human kind. Talk of "exploitation", etc. To put it in perspective, you sit at a computer and type, and get paid $200k+ a year for it.

Forget other people in the other part of the world, just compare your situation to the average American for a second - they don't have a choice of whether or not to be at the office, because their office is our schools, our fire stations, our construction sites. And they get 1/4th the salary you do.

Well, another side project down the drain. Such is life. TLDR: spent a few months building this on the side (probably 3-4 hours each night), launched to crickets and got 1 sale at $39.

My mistake this time was not doing a vibe check on the market - seems like this isn't something many people need other than myself.

This was a weekend project after having a really difficult time just getting a sod quote for my yard. A lot of these companies are stuck in the stone ages tech wise, and it takes days to hear back from them. Would love any feedback you have.
