Are meat eaters the target audience here? I was always under the impression that the target audience was vegetarians that longed for a burger et al.
As a meat eater, I can't imagine myself ever even trying a plant-based "meat" product. If I want veggies, I eat veggies. If I want meat, I eat meat. I know, crazy.
Covid has exposed the powers that be to be about exactly that: power. In the US, gun and ammo sales are through the roof due to the overreach of government. Everyone in the west has been warned by seeing how our governments react to try and control us. Well, everyone except Sweden and South Korea.
The surprise to me is not that governments are doing this. The surprise to me is that so many people fall in line with it as if they are incapable of thinking for themselves. Maybe after so many millennia of being serfs, slaves, and other subjugations its just in our DNA.

There's not a single Biden voter that cares that Biden is incompetent and creating messes for the US (border crises, inflation, gas shortages, etc). What they care about is no more Trump mean tweets.

"Only you can prevent forest fires" lays the wrong mindset that humans are the only causes of forest fires. I grew up with that mindset, took some education to realize that nature (lightning) creates fires as well, and that fires have occurred throughout history for the benefit of the ecosystem.
Why is that surprising? Have you not been paying attention to Biden's lack of mental capacity the past couple years?
My kids are older teenagers now, but I wish Apple would have had some of this 5-8 years ago. Good on Apple for investing in helping real world problems and issues instead of investing in silencing opinions they disagree with in the name of "misinformation."
Residential zones are always in demand. No reason commercial can't be rezoned, and developers are always looking for prime locations.
I find that without a face to read, I have a very difficult time navigating conversations.
I hear this a lot, and in my long experience I find that most people are terrible at reading others in the business world. I've seen so many misunderstandings because of people reading into others tone, body language, etc, instead of just listening to the words and interpreting them.
I've been at two sizable (publicly traded, Fortune 300) companies where this has been documented in both Slack and Email. And I just facepalm wondering how management can be so ignorant of the law.

So, data-driven, factual research is the domain of the extreme far right wing these days? I mean, I knew the left was illogical, irrational, and irresponsible, but didn't realize leftists were admitting it.
The documentary Uncle Tom talks about the active work the press and educational circles do to suppress Thomas Sowell's work. His data-driven research and conclusions counter leftist educational and media institutions, and those institutions see Sowell as a threat to their power base. In other words, follow the money.

Seems to be a pattern on HN over the past couple years: if it doesn't fit a certain progressive narrative, then it gets flagged or downvoted. The irony to me is that's exactly what news should be - things that are new.

If you were truly informed and educated as you claim you would know that our founding fathers had the foresight to anticipate the badness of government as a necessary evil (their words). We enjoy the high quality of life due to our constitution which enable the freedoms and sacrifice of Americans before us, despite the government's interference along the way.

Ads still exist. Advertising has existed for a long time, effectively, without personal tracking. This will weed out the players from the wannabes.
That makes absolutely no sense. Of course minimum wage expands to mean "the minimum wage that some entry-level person should be required to receive." Entry level means young. That's exactly who the law should be for.
After entry level, it's up to the individual to level up and improve their employability and work their way up. At least that's the way it used to work, and boy did it work. Nowadays everyone wants the payday without having to put in the effort.
