Not sure about iPod but many players like the cowon iaudio or sandisk sansa series act just like USB drives. So you just drag and drop songs to or from any computer so its easy to share songs with friends.

Factor has not been related to JVM in any way for many years now. The core of the VM has been in C since 2004 and now it has been ported to C++.
My guess is that the reverse is likely more true.
Fedora servers were indeed hacked if I remember correctly and malicious packets were uploaded but it was detected before they reached the users.
Repo security is certainly very important. But well, ultimately you have to trust someone?

Please, can a moderator change the headline?
"To get GS to make the site look less official/confusing and bit less insulting" is only part of the answer.
The other part, as mechanical_fish has elqouently pointed out above, is to reach present/past/potential customers of 37s who were mislead by GS into thinking that 37s does not answer customer questions. Contacting GS alone would not have solved the damage GS already did. It was not enough for 37s to prevent future abuse, but also to turn back the damage already done in the past.
Not very interesting.
edit: Is it possible to have some filtering according to interests or whatever? Otherwise conversations are exceedingly random.
You mean like a console?
They are also offering a browser plugin for your PC or Mac so you don't need their box. The box is only required if you want to use your TV and not your computer.
I strongly believe that these things are not trivial to do well yourself and maintaining such an infrastructure will distract you from your core competency.
Don't tell that to us here. Say that in a convincing manner on the homepage.
You will note it includes no standard benchmarks and only includes a vague hand-waving claim saying that its orders of magnitude faster. No real world numbers are quoted. Nothing is said about how good the CPU implementation was and so on.
After working in GPGPU for a while, I have become really wary of vendor claims. Vendors do all sort of tricks to make their claims look good : comparing against single core non-optimized CPU code, comparing different algorithms on GPU and CPU, not reporting the time required to transfer data between CPU and GPU, comparing only 32-bit float performance when 64-bit floats should be used and so forth.
Of course, GPUs are certainly very good for some types of problems. But they are not magical solutions and are not suitable for most problems.
Its a little funny though. I learnt programming first and maths later. SO when I encountered functions in maths at school, I thought "oh I already know this stuff".
112 was quoted as IQ score for Indian-Americans.
I wonder if your score is an all time high on HN. Anyone know of any higher ranked comment?
Does that mean they dont have to earn money?
Does it matter whether they are testing it in a VM or a "real machine"?
Hmm and maybe have a "peer reviewed" planet?
I do check occasionally and usually Google has been better. YMMV.
Or maybe you know, it does provide better results.
Processing.org : easy to get started with graphics. I have been having fun with it recently myself.
Btw Flash 9 does run on ARM devices.
1.Could not find any docs.
2. Why? Why not wxpython, tkinter etc?
Weird. I was routinely buying glass lenses in India at $10. Now I am in Canada and I pay $150 or more for similar lenses.
7'' touchscreen tablet that can run a browser : Dont the Archos 7 Internet Tablet fit the bill? (Its sadly a closed platform though. No SDK which is really sad).

maybe someone emailed him a link or something.
Is shy=introvert=geek? Not necessarily IMO .. arent these 3 different concepts?
Umm I just tried that : http://www.cuil.com/search?q=%22postmodern+programming%22
It returned 516 results for me (when including quotes in query).
A somewhat related book I recommend is The Road to Reality by Roger Penrose.
Will orders be limited to US or will it be international? I am from Canada, the land where most cool tech gadgets dont end up or are a year late :(
Rather disappointed by the (lack of) progress of the Cell .. it has stood still while other architectures are marching on mercilessly.
