ask Claude about how to improve on how to ask Claude things
How do you evaluate this? Claude is horrible at performance analysis without data, does it have a feedback loop here that actually moves the needle.
It's a product I actively looked for before setting up Slack for my company.
You can go to a normal store and buy a device using fuchsia today, it's just not advertising that is the OS under the hood. That is why I do not think what you said is the same thing.
There are multiple devices that have shipped with Fuchsia on it in the home ecosystem over the last 5 years.
I don't necessarily think it's going to be a major success, but it's already been more successful than this implies.

Calling out tailscale here is odd considering it's peer-to-peer and encrypted.
Reader was killed in 2013, Chrome already had ~40% market share by then. It may have not been as dominant as it is now, but Chrome was already a major influence on the web user experience.
Better UX would have helped adoption and would have led to Google keeping the RSS button
The most obvious people to have improved that UX is the browser... aka Google. The way that XML rendered was controlled by the browser. This all sounds like Google apologism.
"just build more housing" is definitely viable here in NYC. NYC is not that dense in comparison to many other major metropolis in the world.

Dart was a JavaScript alternative that was started back in 2011. It's evolved a lot since then but in no way was it created for Flutter.

I've been exploring buck2 for work a lot recently. We're considering switching to either it or Bazel.
It'll be an incredibly risky decision to go with buck2 today, but it's so darn zippy in comparison to Bazel it's hard to not at least give it a real try.
My impression so far has been it's pretty robust in it's core, but anything that FB doesn't use is in a mediocre state. It's yet to be seen how willing they'll be to take PRs that are explicitly for community usage.

This, is just deeply untrue. Do you really think everybody working on compilers and linkers are deeply ignorant? I can easily saturate my 64 GB RAM home setup during a compile.
Everyone else here is not agreeing with you, but having just come back from our India office and dealing a little bit with compensation adjustment, I totally agree with you.
Our Indian teams are making really good money these days, and if we don't pay them as such they bounce to another company.
The fandom is an unmoderated site and does not reflect the general community. Racists have edit buttons too unfortunately. If you look at the edit history of the page it'll tell a story of far-right trolls attempting to rebrand it in recent years.

Before anyone gets too worried, the Anglish community in my (limited) experience has been incredibly anti-racism/Nazi/etc.
They are just a bunch of linguistics nerds who are having fun imagining what English would have been without a Norman invasion.
In the same spirit, I'd recommend checking out the Uncleftish Beholding. Although I think it predates the modern Anglish community, it's an attempt to describe Quantum Mechanics with Latin/French derived words.

I have a passing familiarity with the webfiction "Beneath dragon eye moons", that this artwork was designed for. All of the things you are complaining about makes sense in the context of that writing.

Spinning disk are fine for some workloads. However, I've definitely seen teams engineering around slower spinning discs. NVMe isn't egregiously expensive, and if teams are needing to spend too much work and time thinking about disk speed it probably cheaper in the long run to switch.

I go out several times a week now and have a friend group outside of work too. That's a different experience than what the GP is talking about.
My friends don't share my work context, nor do I want to have them hear about it endlessly. Getting a drink with friendly coworkers is a good way to have a conversation with that shared context.
Slack the messaging app was actually the pivot off of an unsuccessful MMORPG. They were writing it for their own internal use. Motivations were somewhat different than you are envisioning.
The first two points in that comparison are (now?) incorrect. Tailscale works natively with Ipv6.
I don't think people are complaining about writing code, I think they are complaining about the time involved with take homes (just having done a couple I can empathize with) and whiteboard codings "high stress nature".
I've also had interviews which just talk about work I've done before. Most industries only need that, and I'm coming around to those being the more valuable questions.
