One of my best friends is an elderly woman who lives alone and cannot walk. She slurs her speech because of a bad head injury a few years back. She has a terrible short term memory.

She is pretty cool.

I visit her about three times a week and we will talk for hours. I wonder why we get along so darn well - I'm a 40 year old single guy with practically zero in common with her - but I always leave her house feeling happy. She will wave goodbye to me from the screen door until I am out of view.

I like watching out for her wellbeing and brightening her day, yet I still feel I'm the one who is benefiting.

Ok, now that I used this app I'm totally impressed. It even continues blocking after rebooting. Ha! Awesome.

I banged off almost 1000 words yesterday and had to shut down because of an oncoming storm. This morning I boot up and my connection is still locked up. My browser is saying I need to type another 1000 words if I want to get Internet. Nice.

I think your app will do well!

Sounds like you're suffering depression. I suggest looking into some remedies, be it meds, an exercise regime or better diet. But really, look into it.

I'd also suggest looking somewhere completely different. Go get inspired. Do you know how? That's important. Refresh your spirit. Meditate. Pray. Befriend someone who is lonely. Get your mind blown by learning something completely new.

The world may be radically different when your done doing that, a new world of possibilities.

Any email I can't unsubscribe from with one click, I flag as spam. Even stuff I initially signed up to.

If I have to log in to change my preferences or reply with REMOVE, it's spam. Easy peasy.

I despise cars too (which definitely makes me an oddball since I'm Canadian and live in a mid-sized city), so I sympathize with you. North America is obsessed with cars, and has caused a lot of pollution and havoc on the landscape.

But I digress. I just wanted to let you know there are others that feel the same way.

My comment was to bring attention to the humane treatment of animals.

I'm an apartment renter and I've lived near many dog owners. I make it a point to introduce myself and offer to walk their dog(s). Without fail, the dogs are beside themselves with excitement when I get them.

Dogs especially need lots of space and exercise. What a pet owner may think is a big enough apartment may not be.

Sure, although it's common for single people to have a pet.

I don't know about the US, but in Canada I think it's illegal for renters to discriminate against pet owners. Many still do however.

I'm concerned about house pets (like dogs and cats) in such a small apartment. Are these micro apartments fit for dwelling in for long periods of time? I don't think so. Cats and dogs need space too, and they don't have the freedom to come and go whenever they please.
