You could instead write it as the following to handle that.

         | [] -> Error "no customers with credit"

I can't seem to find the old DocumentDB prices any more, but it seems like it's a lot cheaper now? Also, is User-Defined Performance something new? since last time I looked into DocumentDB you had to pay the monthly RU fee per 10GB disk.

One more thing, as someone who went from DocumentDb to Azure Storage (Tables) back in April 2016 because of the higher price, slower queries, and scalability problems, is there anything that may make Cosmos DB a better option?

Same symptoms here, production is running fine, but we aren't able to view the storage accounts directly or do most things in the azure portal.

We used to use DocumentDB, but switched to Azure Table Storage a while back. Did some benchmarking and DocumentDB was too slow for our needs (getting documents for a range between two epochs). Not sure if others experienced the same thing or if things have gotten better since then though.
