I got 30 AI-generated images as well, also wondered if that was the whole point.

I had completely forgotten about these. I have to say I do miss this kind of detail in the presentations these days, even if I like the products of late way more than the ones that came in the latter half of the 2010s.

Google doesn't have to listen to anyone, this is what having a browser market share of 70%+ grants you. Question is, will their move chip away at that market share? If people actually care, it should.

I would just like to piggyback on this and say that in addition to this, an image or two goes a long way people. Especially if your program has a GUI!

Presumably the fact that Facebook owns WhatsApp and continues to erode all the "protections" users of WhatsApp initially had from the invasive tentacles of Facebook into their data on WhatsApp.

I found this an interesting article at first glance but after comparing the two analyses he posted, are the numbers really that different that you can make a big distinction in terms of the articles differing readability? (If we accept that the program does a good job analyzing the text.)

Would be very interesting to see this kind of analysis with a decent sample size and see if there actually is a trend. Hard to tell by comparing just two articles.

I have confused feelings on the "efficiency" of their recommendations. As many others attest to, their recommendations lean heavily on popularity, and any one video in your history can change dramatically the majority of videos you get recommended. Even if most of your history is on completely different topics, that one video will dominate the recommendations.

People tend to suggest this is intended behavior, my question is instead: Is the recommendation engine all that good to begin with, given how a lot of people find their recommendations confusing, lackluster, or downright bad?

Can confirm that this is the case for me as well. (EU resident.)

Yep, still a problem for me last week, deleting entries numbering more than about 300 seems to be the magical breaking point.

This is fantastic. I never liked the cookies sticking around forever, and managing them manually was a massive pain if you wanted to keep some of them.

Not to mention Firefox is usually brought to its knees when trying to delete large segments of History/Cookies at once.

I mean, how does one solve a problem with unknowns? You try different things until you make some progress and work from there. Turns out he didn't have to do more than registering the domain but just because the problem turned out to be simple to resolve, doesn't make solving it an accident.

Isn't this the same use case as YouTube provides for on mobile devices? And YouTube is 'free'.

Quite the difficult road for a product to demand people to spend their time on their platform instead, in addition to charging a subscription fee for it.

I guess they can make the argument that it will damage their financial prospects of reselling old games on digital platforms, such as Virtual Console.

But emulators are already available with very good accuracy so I don't know if this will actually have any actual impact on their potential sales.

I do believe that N64 emulation might benefit from the leaks, as I am under the impression the accuracy of N64 emulators has some glaring issues still.
