100% agree with this.

Everything they’ve done in the last 5 years I’ve been using Unity has felt half baked. You’ll try any number of the things they’ve released recently (networking, 2d animation, and vector graphics are the ones that come to mind for me) and they’ll work fine for their demo case but then fall apart with so many cases that you need to actually ship a game. I think one of the bigger problems with the company is that they’re not actually making games themselves and eating their own dog food.

The photo improvements are a result of taking multiple pictures and processing them into one image which you can't do with video.

Knowing that one is fake you can take the time to pick it out, but these could easily pass as real photos in a context where you're not looking for them.

This is the static vs dynamic type argument at its heart. When making small apps, dynamic wins out from not having to declare or think too much about types. After some threshold in complexity having static types is much better.

I would be extremely wary about trusting robinhood now. I have a stock account with them and back in October I used their new feature to transfer stocks from other brokerages. However, there was never any selection for _which_ stocks you wanted to transfer so it transferred all of them without confirmation. After 4 back and forth support emails each taking multiple days to hear back on I finally gave up with them and got Vanguard to transfer some of the stocks back. Robinhood responded by deactivating my account until the transfer was complete, which it did a week later. Here I am mid January still waiting for my account to be reopened after creating a new support ticket for them to respond to.
