How did you deal with the usually supplied templates that you get for TeX? Did you just try to imitate as best as possible?

(I wanted to look at this at some point for replacing latex for submissions to IEEE confs/corl etc)

These models typically predict actions directly, there is no motion planning going on here.

The path simplification technique in the post is called "shortcutting" in robotics. Here [1] is some approachable explanation, the original paper [2] is relatively digestible read as well, and has some other techniques in there (amongs thm, partial shortcutting, which I found extremely helpful in robotics path planning).

Regarding general multi agent path finding: There is a lot of literature around with respect to time optimal planning in MAPF both in robotics, and in adjacent fields.

Zurich does definitely not top out at 100k. Depending on your negotiation skills, you'll start at about 120-140k in the big tech companies, around 120k in data science consulting, 120k for data science in banks, 80-100k at the smaller software companies.

I am currently doing a PhD in Europe. The duration of 3 or 4 years is only really true for hard sciences/engineering, and can be much longer in other fields.

The self-support part is not true for the UK at least - I got admitted to the program but did not get funding, so I could have taken a loan. In Germany, I am employed as a 'research assistant' during my PhD, and while underpaid compared to FAANG (or other tech firms), my salary is around the median wage.

It's not only that. I was unable to read any text even after the facebook-popup since scrolling did only sometimes lead to scrolling, and arrows did not do anything either.
