"How big is this page?

Huge! The exact size depends on the screen resolution on your PC, but the page is almost 1 mile (1.6 Km) high and 800 feet (250 m) wide."

Wow - pretty crazy.

For some reason I find pictures of people's faces when they're using computers really off putting. Every has this hollow, empty expression, like they're looking into some void.

But these people probably didn't knowingly buy a stolen laptop. That kind of reselling happens all the time.

Not the way to do it, Apple.

But this is an amazing way to deal with the situation. He's frank, honest and comes off looking like he's got the situation under control. Marketing types should bookmark this for future reference - great way to address a situation.

Totally. I also hate the idea that everyone's opinion is valid and should be revered. I know very little about nuclear reactors, so my opinion isn't as valid as someone who actually knows stuff about nuclear reactors. It's what makes radio phone ins so stupid to me - "Here's builder Phil from Plymouth with his opinion on quantitative easing" ????

Smart TVs are dumb 13 years ago

An Apple TV is a good device for me - especially if you just want a device that works simply, has Netflix etc. and has a fairly decent UI. Plus airplay and the music streaming stuff if you have iTunes match is pretty nice.

Would love to be able to plug my hdd in and play videos from it, but it's not that kind of device and jailbreaking seems like a bit of a hassle at this point. Plus, when the girlfriend wants to watch Netflix and it's running some strange Linux distro I might get a bit told off...

It doesn't fit all of our video needs (we have Sky, PS3 for dvds etc.) but it's worth it for netflix alone, imo.

I think it's surprising how many people grow up without the ability to listen to other people. It's a fundamental part of almost all relationships yet I think it's sidelined by many people in favour of having strong opinions and cool stories (not a bad thing either) - especially in a work situation where being right isn't what's always important.

I'm guilty of it sometimes as well, so will keep these in mind. Thanks!

I really, really hope I get to see this before I die. Space travel is something that has lost it's cultural significance (for some valid reasons, Columbia, Challenger etc) but to have something that the whole world can come together and be a part of would be incredible. Almost how the Eco movement started when images of the pale blue dot were circulated, would love to see something similar.

Donating my Xbox 13 years ago

It's funny that in some ways iOS and Android, arguably the most widely used gaming systems atm, actually foster the kind of games he's talking about wanting to make.

There's still the mainstream bro games, but it does seem developers have more of a chance to make a living off their ideas.
