I was a missionary in Montevideo Uruguay never having been away from home for Christmas. There were fireworks all night long and we were just outside with all the kids going to different peoples houses and just having a blast. Was one night I felt like everyone was nice to us and just accepted us.

Hey thanks for your comment. I certainly don't want a "how to get mugged app". I look at it as the local is the tourguide and you're paying for a tour. They pick the restaurant and if you agree that's where you go. Since its just meeting in a public place I would hope the chances of getting mugged are low. My hope is that by looking at their social media profiles you'd get an idea of what type of person you are meeting with.

The world health organization has declared that social isolation and loneliness is a major global health problem [1]. I also note there are a lot of solo travelers. Here's my attempt to help with the problem. My favorite memories when I'm abroad is meeting with the local people. This is trying very hard to not be a dating/hookup app but a place where my family might be able to take a local out to dinner and learn about their lives and practice speaking a foreign language.

Agreed! I have recently started using it again and found if I only do one lesson a day I can close it just as the ad has started. It used to be great and now it’s horrible.

Our 15 y/o son was diagnosed T1D Jan 2020. Finally got him on loop Sept 2021 and feel the same way. These developers are saints for doing this work. They've given us countless hours of sleep. We had another T1D family come visit us and I set them up on loop. I was in tears when I got text message from them telling us how they their kid is 85% in range and they are actually sleeping through the night. These are truly life changing projects.

Hi! These are materials from a class I teach on building Microservices on AWS. It shows how to use the serverless framework and React to create a photo app where users login and can upload photos. In an effort to learn more, I invite your constructive criticism and suggestions. Thank you!

I appreciate your zealousness for MIT but your response doesn't mean that it hasn't happened at MIT nor other revered places of higher learning in the past, just that it hasn't been made widely known. The people I associated with at Cal I thought were above this kind of behavior as well, but apparently not. I would be sad to hear about this for MIT or any other college. However there's a lot of deals that happen behind closed doors, and sadly, it could be more than we think given all the press we've heard about college admissions these last few years.
