I am a doctor. Pfizer Covid vaccine gave me a left leg DVT plus a peripheral neuropathy. I will never take another mRNA vaccine again.

I quit all news shows since before 2000. I quit all TV for over a year now. Robert Heinlein knew this in the 1960's.
"Remind me... to write an article on the compulsive reading of news. The theme will be that most neuroses and some psychoses can be traced to the unnecessary and unhealthy habit of daily wallowing in the troubles and sins of five billion strangers."— Stranger in a Strange Land
Another failed communist country.
Their Fentanyl precursors have killed way more than Israel or Russia.
AI turns you into a NPC.
I stopped watching all TV 2 years ago. Unfortunately my family won't let me cancel all our streaming apps.
We bought a small homestead 20 months ago. The prior owners only used it for their horses, Nothing had been planted by them. We have slowly been planting fruit trees. We lost a lot due to our drought. I just put in another 20 fruit trees this past weekend. It is good for the soul.
I saw someone on You-Tube that soaked them overnight and then used Grandpa's Goody Getter nutcracker to open them. The shells shattered less, he got much bigger pieces, and it wasn't as messy. I have tried both with and without soaking them overnight and I agree that soaking overnight is better than not soaking. You still need a very good nutcracker. https://www.grandpasgoodygetter.com/products/black-walnut-nu...
We have know this for years. I was taught this over 30 years ago in my GI fellowship.
Still my favorite FPS of all time. Low gravity sniper rifle CTF was my favorite. Was in the NTHZ clan.
One of my first ambient records I bought after I got into Music for Airports by Eno. Still one of my favorites. After those two I got into Stars for the Lid.
I started beekeeping with my first hive in April this year. I find it very fascinating. It has helped me control my emotions as you have to be calm around them. Knock on wood, I have not been stung yet (I always suit up when I open the hive). My hive is thriving, but I did not harvest any honey to make sure they make it through their first winter. I have been fighting small hive beetles but so far have not had any significant infestation of varroa mites.
As a doctor I hope it still allows me to get up to speed on latest treatments for rare diseases that I see once every 10 years. It saves me a lot of time rather than having to dig through all the new information since I last encountered a rare disease.
One of my first video games I played. I loved designing my own levels.
Or shadow ban it.
I definitely am enjoying life more since we bought a small 16 acre farm/woods and I started growing vegetables/growing fruit and nut trees/foraging mushrooms and berries/beekeeping. I wouldn't call it boring. Always learning something new. Found 8 black walnut trees on the property and 3 pecan trees. Lots of hickory trees. 3 persimmon trees. Multiple red mulberry trees. I enjoy country life.
Same thing with our two Boykin Spaniels.
Given the proliferation of chronic disease under these prior surgeon generals they really have no standing to challenge RFK Jr. They failed doing their jobs. Before I get shadow banned, I am a MD in practice since 1997.
Most of the private practices in my town have been bought out by the local hospital system as the older partners are unable to find anyone to become junior partners as the overhead costs have doubled since Covid. The only way to meet overhead is to have the hospital buy the practice as they can charge 2x to 10x for the same visits. It is a backdoor way to socialized medicine.
South Park covered this years ago.
Misleading title. Eroded ability to find precancerous colon polyps, not cancer. I am a gastroenterologist that consults at the local VA hospital. They started using Medtronic GI Genius AI last year across the USA. It has a very high false positive rate for true polyps so I suspect this is playing a role in this study in addition to doctors becoming overly reliant on it. Overall I think it is a promising technology once they refine the models.
I had a 2001 Tundra. When I looked at a new Tundra in 2016 it was basically the same interior with the same knobs and controls as my 2001. I ended up with a Ford F150 instead. I think they made changes to the 2017 Tundra interior. Toyota just sticks with what works once they iron out the bugs. Other car manufacturers go for the bling to get people to buy.
I stopped alcohol 570 days ago using the Scott Adams reframe of "alcohol is poison". I quit because my son was abusing alcohol and I wanted to set a better example, and show him that you can still have a good time without alcohol. I definitely sleep better than I did when I would drink socially.
I found that out while in medical residency and fellowship. 100% political. Has nothing to do with the validity of a study. It is why I left academic medicine.
I would rather have an eReader that does more like my two Kindle Scribes, but costs a lot more. I will never go back to cheaper eReaders after using the Scribe.
My current biggest money drain is for equipment and supplies for a small farm/homestead we bought last year. Never knew compact tractors with all the bells and whistles cost so much. Plus I like to buy EDC tools off of Kickstarter.
Doctors are not allowed to unionize in the US. Nurses are a different story.
I have been using it for a year since we bought a small farm. I donated to support them just last month. Great app. Only thing I see trip it up is mockingbirds.
As a gastroenterologist for over 30 years the healthiest patients I see are either on carnivore or paleo diet. The sickest patients are the vegans. This article does not agree with my experience.
