Complete speculation but could be that Apple supports these operators on their GPUs and they need end-user models optimized to use them. Apple makes their money on consumer devices and need them to be performant for inference on the edge. Getting NVIDIA to integrate the operators may result in more models optimized for operators Apple's devices can leverage to stay ahead of other edge GPUs.

After a few weeks of my 3 year old Android TV having ads and having choppy animations, I bought the new Apple TV. In the last month we haven't watched anything on the base Android TV interface. Apple TV is smoother, easier to find what we want, and interfaces for HBO Max look better.

This is supporting my believe that expensive (durable) goods like TVs, cars, and appliances should have an external control hardware for their smarts that can be upgraded every few years. This would allow the good to last 10+ years without a crappy experience after the first 2 years.

I have family in Mill Valley in that area. They've seen PG&E helicoptering in new polls in residential neighborhoods. I assume it was because the streets were too narrow but also likely that the community didn't want heavy machinery in their neighborhood.

I enjoyed this. I probably read it in 2017 but it carries new meaning given the new vectors of disparity. Of these caricatures of late 20-somethings, two are likely now out of work and dealing with a whole new set of problems. The third mostly complains about having to work from home and how food delivery is less reliable than it used to be.

Recaptcha is the crappiest product Google makes, in my opinion. If they're as bad at detecting a human, they shouldn't even be trying. I can solve 10 puzzles correctly in a row and it's still thinks I'm not a human.
