I use their services, but I frankly don't care who provides it. I'll chase the chepest/best and have no issue switching from one to another.
For the hyperscalers, there is an ease of remaining in the Azure/AWS/GCP fabric from a data provenance perspective, particularly for regulated industries or large, risk-averse enterprises. There's also, of course, a certain network egress tax in most cases.
As long as token costs are being subsidized, I don't mind that this is the result of the consumer surplus.
I regret having signed up for an annual plan at this point; the rug-pulls are increasingly irksome.

Connect them with clear APIs that don't have to change all that often, and you can build pretty big things.

Many ski areas, while private bushiness often operate on public lands through long-term leases [1]. Some amount of public access (eg free uphill access to the lands) are often requirements as a part of the lease; I don't see why certain business terms shouldn't be able to be regulated in the interest of the general public.

Ted Lasso is such an uplifting, sincere, and funny show. My favorite of the last five years, and I am indifferent at best to sports generally.
One would hope that most students (certainly the median one) think of it as value-generative for them, and for only the students seeing the least value as break-even (otherwise one shouldn't go to uni)
This is also ignoring the significant credit that having a "brand" name school as well as alumni network, like those in the Ivy League, has on one's job prospects. A significant portion of the value of one's graduation from these institutions is an affiliation with their name, which is more valuable than those of various (especially mid-tier) state schools.
