It also can automatically rotate authors if you've got people eager for attribution. When I was just starting out pairing, it felt really good to join a project and immediately get commits on a new repo.

You configure a ~/.git-authors file with people with whom you regularly pair, and use `git duet [author-1] [author-2]` to set primary and secondary commit authors. Env variables set whether you want `Signed-off-by` or `Co-authored-by` trailers.

That's true in the US, but not in many other places (the UK for example).

The interesting properties of RNNs aren't in readability. RNNs can learn syntactical states, e.g. "this text is in quotes" that enable some really cool analysis tricks. OpenAI published an article about this recently, where they showed that an RNN, without being trained on it, learned the difference between positive and negative reviews. The fact that an RNN encodes sentiment is an incredibly useful feature.

I just finished the Udacity machine learning nanodegree a bit over a month ago. While it is good (and getting better) at teaching techniques and material, you miss a lot in terms of access to research faculty.

There aren't any research projects, and you won't ever operate at the cutting edge (WaveNet!) at Udacity. It's like trade school for software, which is fine if you're highly motivated or just want to acquire some skills.

I pay ~7.5% for myself and my spouse. We have four children covered by the state's expanded Medicaid provision. State and federal taxes and budgeting make it impossible to estimate not only how much I am paying for that portion, but how much anyone is paying for it... Probably not another 10 percentage points, though.

I ran their developer version on an old Nexus 7 for a while, and it was more like the latter (Windows analogue). There is still a full terminal experience available even on the phone as I understand it, just a lot more proprietary software.
