I love that this cautionary tale about not opening random links from people you don't know, ends with you opening up some random docx that just materialised out of the blue on one of your USB sticks.

I've done multiple txs in the last few weeks - all with "normal fees," 2 took 3 days to get a single confirmation. 1 took ~24 hours, although these were the outliers, several other txs happened in normal time frames.
It's possible the app I use is just bad at calculating fees, but I'm thinking yeah that guy got lucky.
SARS and MERS killed ~1 in 10 and ~1 in 3 of the people who contracted them.
If a contagious disease with a 34% mortality rate don't justify containment. What does?
DDG is fine when you need help with a problem a lot of people bump up against frequently, but its helpfulness nosedives when your journey takes you off the beaten track.
I went from a 2015 MBP to a Gigabyte Aero 15x and put Pop!OS on it.
I'm very happy with it - it's a tidy little machine, build quality is good, it has a nice 4K screen, great specs incl a good GPU, all the holes and slots I could ask for, and the battery lasts something like 10hrs (GPU usage destroys this though obviously)
If you can live without Mac OS, there are a number of top notch laptops out there calling your name.
I took the parent posts to mean that step involved checking the project license, not its dependencies.
For the latter though, Fossology, Scancode etc. can help.
API Gateway gets expensive when things get busy. App load balancers also let you point methods at Lambdas though, so nowadays that's likely a better idea (and certainly more serverless) than doing the routing in nginx.
On going into the app to let it know when it gets things wrong: I’d love to have it just listen for a “thank you” for a few seconds after it does whatever it thinks we’ve asked it to do.
Having a vacuum cleaner that's not a complete PITA helps too (e.g. light, cordless and powerful)
I don't enjoy any housework and used to use a robot vacuum cleaner more or less exclusively, but it can't have been off its dock more than twice in the last 6 months. I actually enjoy doing it myself when I don't have to lug around a big heavy device with a power cord trailing out of it. Never thought I'd see the day.
VyOS is another good option
If you count one a second, you're counting very slowly.
That stops being true long before you reach the finish line. Try timing yourself counting from 147,895 to 147,900 and see how long it takes.
BeOS was delicious all around and it's a crying shame it didn't take off. It really felt like the Amiga's spiritual successor to me.
That's what cancel does - you click proceed when you want to cancel. If cancelling isn't what you want, you simply click the button labelled "Cancel"
Clear as mud, right?
It's awkward sometimes. AWX: "Are you sure you want to cancel? Cancel/Proceed"
e.g. Cancel cancelling / proceed to cancel. To me, that always seemed like a place where a simple "Yes/No" would be more appropriate.
The problem with tracking cash that way is it only works if the shop closes right after Alice leaves.
If another customer comes in and gets Alice's note in their change (which is fairly likely since it's sitting at the top of the stack) then that note becomes entirely disassociated from the original purchase.
