Seasoned Senior Software Engineer with a passion for performance-oriented development of web services and backend components using Django and other Python-related technologies. I have experience in scaling and leading engineering teams, collaborating on API platforms, and integrating third-party APIs for seamless functionality.

My expertise extends to designing efficient data pipelines, implementing DevOps practices, and ensuring robust security measures. I've contributed to the development of travel experiences platforms, dynamic living environments, and real-time financial web platforms. My portfolio reflects a diverse range of projects, showcasing my adaptability and ability to wear multiple hats.

Additionally, I have previously led engineering teams at two different organisations, where I played a crucial role in scaling the teams and delivering high-quality products.

Here are some highlights from my career:

- Co-authored the booking and payment system for a core platform, serving ~ 1 million monthly active users.

- Scaled the engineering team at a PropTech organization, architected our stack from grass root levels and streamlined the development environment setup for enhanced productivity.

- Built a highly scalable real-time web platform at a FinTech organization, managing RESTful APIs and cloud infrastructure.

I love solving complex challenges and improving user experiences. Whether you need a tech leader to drive your project or a collaborative team player to enhance your development process, I'm excited to explore new opportunities.

If your team is hiring or you know of any exciting opportunities in Python web development, please don't hesitate to reach out. I am open to both on-site and remote positions, and I am willing to relocate for the right opportunity.

Feel free to connect with me via email at "hire [at] ubergeek [dot] me" for more details on my background and projects.

Thank you for your time, and I'm looking forward to connecting with like-minded individuals and companies!

I am big fan of django's apps model ... what I like to call a "Modular Monolith".

Being an early engineer at most of my stints, I have build and scaled multiple startups using the approach and it has never failed me, the pitfalls of micro-services is not worth it unless absolutely necessary.

I always made it a point to group by business-logic rather than separate at whatever curve ball "new-tech" throws at me.

Is there a no-cost option if I don’t want to upgrade? A no-cost option will be available for all customers who do not want to use Gmail with their custom domain (for example, your-name@example.com), or the ability to manage multiple users. Customers who choose this option will retain access to the no-cost version of Google Workspace services such as Google Drive and Google Meet, and additional Google services such as Google Search, Google Maps, and YouTube. You will also retain access to paid content such as movies purchased in the Google Play Store.

You'll see a message about the waiting list in your Google Admin console in the coming weeks.

If you want the no cost option, you need to join this waiting list in the Google Admin console before June 1, 2022, so your account is not automatically upgraded to Google Workspace. Those on the waiting list will remain on the G Suite legacy free edition until the no-cost option is available. Once the no-cost option is available, we’ll be in touch with more details on what will happen to your account. You will have 60 days to evaluate the no-cost option or choose Google Workspace before any changes are made to your account.

If you change your mind after you join the waiting list for the no-cost option, you’ll still be able to upgrade to Google Workspace at any time.

The key projection in this article that affected me the most was: “The crisis is unwinding a vast social and industrial overhaul that took place during half a century of air-travel proliferation. In years to come, overseas business trips and holidays will likely mean more airport stopovers, longer journey times, and perhaps an additional mode of transport.” and according to this author, It might take a good four or five years for connectivity to return to the same level we saw at the end of 2019. Just when we were starting to feel good about a tightly connected world, making globetrotting a breeze - this seems like a severe and painful regression

Scientists create "sugar sponge" which can be injected into diabetics to sop up and bind glucose when glucose levels are high, and release the sugar when its concentrations are low. They also tested the sponge in mice with type-I diabetes, and within two days, they saw antidiabetic effects.

Now they have to make it cheap. Unless the manufacturers are able to create this product in a way that is cheaper for oil companies than what they are currently doing to clean up spills, this will unfortunately probably not matter. Hopefully they can because it looks quite impressive.
