I'm pretty sure no one is going to be hunting down NDA infractions on HN unless the poster is silly enough to give specifics about the workplace and time at which they solved the problem. If it takes some kind of investigative work to piece together the most basic details, I think that's within the terms of most NDAs anyway.
Vurtually anyone saying "left wing Marxists" in the US, in reference to an organized movement, is full of shit and/or fully captured by the American propaganda waves still echoing from the the red scare era of the 1940s and 50s. These people are the type to call literally any social safety net "communist".

Maybe because they must remain as the final scapegoat. If the aiCEO screws up, it'll bring too much into question the decision making behind implementing it. If the regular CEO screws up, it'll just be the usual story.

Results
The literature search identified 415 articles; of these, 15 ecological studies were included in the synthesis. I know it's overused and incorrectly applied, but I can't get past the thought that the people doing this have a silent, burning mentality of "Rule 1: You don't talk about fight club!"
I'm in the same boat. In my case it's especially disturbing because prior to this whole gestures broadly thing, we had nuanced debates on many topics. Now, he just dismisses everything as 'narratives' if he disagrees with it.
Sadly, it seems to be based on the propaganda style I've seen out of authoritarians in general. It doesn't hurt 'their side' to break everything down to narratives, because at the end of the day, you just have to swallow the current one and you don't have to think about it again.
In another way it seems almost like a form of burnout. Like 'fuck this, I'm settling on cognitive ease from now on'.

Yeah, if you break it down further into the set of all possible options, but it depends what my criteria/realistic choices are. If I'm not going to or can't leave my house, then the more convenient option is still the better one.

Non-expert here, but I think any imperfect mass distribution with any attractive force would lead to a rotation. Which would mean, essentially, as soon as any imbalance happened in the early universe, some rotation was inevitable.

Interesting article/excerpt, but like >95% of it is disconnected from the title. The first half is basically a historical tale relating where the word 'money' comes from.
TLDR:
- A single list of names from 115 AD/CE reveals that about half the people at the mint were slaves.
- The dies used were hand cut with simple chisel tools and no magnification (lenses) available, so they must have been masters of the craft who would probably become nearsighted by the end of their careers.
- It took 3 people to actually stamp each coin (1 for upper die, 1 for lower die, 1 to hammer), so there were likely many teams of 3 in the mint, given the amount of coins produced.
I think it means permissions work if the app owner is not participating in the ad-buy market, but if they are, then certain permissions (any covering data provided to bidders) are skirted by google.
Isn't the point of providing the data to give bidders a reason to bid (no point in bidding outside their market)? If so, that would give all data to any bidder, as claimed above.
Regarding proportionality, don't they always get the info of the bids they win? If so, what you're saying is that you only get the info of bids won.
Just to play devil's advocate, perhaps it has already been done (multiple people have won more than one ’1 in XX million chance' lotteries). And perhaps none of those who have the capability of something that specific/difficult (I.e. masters of the craft) want or care to have people know how real their abilities are.

I replaced Evernote with Joplin about 5ish years ago. It was super easy in my case, so maybe it's worth checking into. I haven't used the desktop app recently, but it was always snappier than evernote at the very least.
From the little I've read and watched regarding animal intelligence, it's typically mentioned that the brain-to-body size ratio is more important/correlated to estimated intelligence than brain size alone. It seems to help explain things like the outsized intelligence of certain smaller animals (e.g. corvids), but it also seems to only be a partial explanation.
